My Effortless Back to School Makeup Neccessities

Hello friends! Today is my first day of my last year in college (FINALLY!) and as such, I decided it was only appropriate to share with you the products that will be essential to me looking human and not a zombie. As this is my last year, the classes will be harder than before and plus I will be writing my senior thesis this year (and then there is something called grad school applications) so I probably won't be caking my face too much with makeup. The products I am going to talk you through today are products that I would wear on a day where I need to quickly get ready and look somewhat presentable to the public.

Travel Makeup Bag to Canada - Summer 2015 Edition

As the title implies, YES I AM GOING BACK TO MY MOTHERLAND (yes I do consider Canada my motherland). Words cannot describe how pumped I am to have Tim Hortons multiple times a day when I am visiting along with (hopefully) being able to meet up with my lovely friend Vanessa over at Citron and Guavaberry. A lot of these products are products I'm trying to finish up and are products that are trustworthy. On my last trip to Canada, I made the mistake of bringing out products that haven't been truely tested before...and as a result I was an oily mess the majority of the time I was there. However, we learn from our mistakes and move on! I won't be gone for more than a week, but nevertheless I wanted to share with you the products I will be bringing with me onto my trip across the border! If you are interested in seeing what makeup brushes I'm bringing, the brushes in last years Travel Makeup Bag to Canada is basically the same as the ones I'm bringing.

How To: Natural Interview Makeup

Hey guys! Today I am sharing you the makeup I would wear to an interview (be it a job or grad school interview). It's currently the time of year where many of my classmates are job hunting or waiting to hear back from grad schools for their interviews. As a result, I wanted to share with you the makeup I would wear to an interview. It's a bit on the safer side, so definitely not appropriate for someone who is planning on going to an interview with a makeup brand, but this look is very easy, quick, and not stressful. I often wear this type of makeup when my eyes are irritated (without mascara of course) or when I have an important meeting or presentation. With that in mind, I hope you enjoy watching this video and reading a few of my tips. For some reason the volume is a little bit on the weaker side for the second half of the video, but you can always crank up the computer volume if you can't hear me :)

FOTD: Dramatic Eid Makeup

Hello friends! Welcome to my 200th post on my blog! Today I am sharing with you another Eid look, this time a bit more dramatic featuring the Too Faced Natural Eyes Palette. If you don't like a dramatic look, I recommend you checking my previous post here where I did a Natural Eid Makeup. This is the type of makeup I would typically wear for any special events that I go to. I love wearing a dark vampy lipstick and smoked out eyes.

Today was the first day that I tried the Anastasia Beverly Hills Cream Contour Kit that I purchased on Wednesday when Macy's was selling it for $25. I have avoided contour kits in the past because a) the steep price and b) let's be real, do I really need more contours and highlights? But the deal was too good to pass up, so I impulsively picked it up. I'm not sure what I think about it yet, but I will definitely let you know with a review.

Eid Mubarak to all my Muslim friends! I hope you all have a wonderful Eid and I hope you enjoy this look :)

March & April 2015 Favorites

Hey guys! This is my March & April 2015 Favorites that I never got around to posting on my blog in time (go figure Pauline, being a bad blogger as per usual). Regardless of the lateness of this video, it gives a very good indication of what products I have been loving relatively recently (some products in here are old favorites, others are relatively new so you get to hear my thoughts on them).

On a side note, I have noticed I have been buying more high end then normal (totally accidentally, didn't even realize it until recently). As a result, I've made it more of a goal to accumulate more drugstore products to review and own. I guess I gravitate more towards high end products more than drugstore products...which is something I am am going to change.

New content for blog and youtube channel should come soon, I'm almost done with editing my latest makeup look...so once that's done and processed I'll have it uploaded on both outlets as soon as I can. I've been MIA a lot this year, much more than I anticipated. Took my exam in the beginning of June, so I will find out the results soon... wish me luck pretty please? Also been helping my friend out studying for her grad school entrance exam...so I've been busy the past month. As a result of all this, a lot of damage has been done (makeup shopping wise), so you'll be seeing plenty of reviews coming upish.

For those of you who have stuck around, thank you for doing so! I really do appreciate it, I know I don't post anywhere close to a relatively frequent basis, but I don't plan on stopping anytime soon :)

Taylor Swift Inspired Makeup Look (from Blank Space)

Hey guys! Hope you are having a wonderful day! Today I will be sharing with you my Taylor Swift Inspired Makeup Look (focusing mainly on her look in the Blank Space music video). I've been wanting to create a look based off the music video ever since it first came out, but I didn't get a chance to do so until this week (so I hope I wasn't too late on the bandwagon!). Anyways, I hope you guys enjoyed the look and let me know what you guys think. Please also let me know if you have any requests for any looks and I will be happy to do them!

July to November 2014 Empties

Hey guys! So today I will be sharing with you what my empties were! I actually don't have that many products that I used up in comparison to other empties videos... but I thought I'd share never the less! The products were on a chair just in case anything leaked and make it easier to clean (hence the products are sitting on the chair). Keep reading for the empties video and complete list of products!

Get Ready With Me 6 - Neutral Makeup for Girl's Day Out!

Hey guys! So I don't know about you guys, but I have been having a blast this summer so far! Lot's of things have been happening (and are going to happen hopefully!) Today I have here a video featuring me getting ready for a girl's day out with my sisters (who are nine and nineteen respectively). We went out to go see Maleficent (which would've been a really good movie if I wasn't distracted by the ridiculous amount of CGI in there) and just hung out! Good times yo. This is a pretty laid back video (meaning I didn't get to take pretty pictures for you guys) but there is some nice funky music and some funny facial expressions! I hope you guys enjoy watching!

And... I just have to say before I let you guys go that the World Cup has been extremely distracting for this beauty blogger (which is surprising since I am NOT into soccer). World Cup fever has me hooked, and its quite alarming because it has me distracted from writing my blog posts and making videos! Too many good games so far!

Wonder Girls Like Money Inspired Makeup Tutorial

Hey guys! So today I will showing you how I created this Wonder Girls Like Money Inspired Makeup Look! I created this like two weeks back, but never got around to recording the voice over (pesky things that they are!) If you guys do not know, I am a huge K-Pop fan! As such, it was only a matter of time that I did a K-Pop inspired look! I am quite pleased with the results, its a very dramatic look. I probably wouldn't rock this out much, being the hermit that I am... but this would be a nice look for going out at night! You get a rare glimpse of me wearing false lashes (this is like, the third time I've worn false lashes). Unfortunately, I may have forgotten to place eyeliner where the band of my lashes were to cover it a bit more...but there will always be a next time for me to remember!

What do you guys think of this look? Let me know in the comment section below!

On a quick aside, I think that I have decided to post at least three times a week for YouTube and for my blog! I should be able to keep up with the schedule, but I'll adjust as need be!

Makeup MAYhem Day 27 - Old & New Products in Makeup Rotation Week 3

Hello guys! Today I will be sharing with you the makeup I will be wearing this week. Some of the products you may recognize from last weeks makeup rotation, I did that on purpose so I could continue to test the products out more while updating you on my current thoughts on them! Some of these products featured here are old favorites that I am revisiting, but the majority of them are new! I hope you are having a wonderful day and hope you will liked reading this post!

For my primer, I will be using the Benefit Porefessional Primer. I'm still trying to determine how much it softens my imperfections...and whether or not it helps with oil-control. I do like this primer overall, so but I haven't made a final decision on what I think about it (and whether or not its worth grabbing again). For my foundation, I will be mixing Lancome Teint Miracle Foundation in Buff 6(W) and Mac Pro Longwear Concealer in NW25. I'm nearly out of my Lancome foundation, so I wanted to try to finish it out. I have to mix it with the concealer to make it match my skin more (plus, it provides more coverage). The Mac concealer is too dark for me to use by itself (but by the end of summer, I'm sure it'll be the only thing that matches my skintone with the amount I've been out in the sun). It is a fantastic concealer that you guys need to try out if you haven't already! For any other concealing I need, I will be using the CoverGirl and Olay Concealer Balm in Light. First impressions wise, this is a great concealer... it's very creamy, blendable, and doesn't crease much under my undereye area. For blush, I will be using Inglot AMC Face Blush in #58. I recently picked this up this weekend (along with two more eyeshadows from them), and from swatching it at the counter the formula seems amazing. This is hands down, one of the softest blushes I own (if not the softest blush in my collection!). For bronzer, I will be using the Elf Studio Golden Bronzer in Golden. It used to be one of my go-to bronzers (as seen by the fact that I hit pan on it). It's a great bronzer for all over face bronzing, but it has a bit of shimmer so I don't use it for contour. To set my makeup, I will be using Becca Fine Pressed Powder in Wheat. Like I mentioned in one of my videos, I'm not totally convinced that this is good for oil control. Still, I'm going to be testing this out to make sure that my instincts are right.

For my eyes, I don't have a lot of products I am sticking to...mainly because I plan on filming a lot of tutorials this week (so I gotta mix up the eyeshadows)! For my eyebrows, I am finalizing my opinion on the Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow Pomade in Dark Brown (first impression video). Needless to say, I think this may be my favorite brow product ever. For eyeliner, I will be using L'Oreal Infallible Gel Lacquer Liner 24 Hr in Blackest Black and Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner in Perversion. I suspect that the L'Oreal eyeliner has expired... I'm nearly positive the formula's changed and dried out... but I just wanted to make sure before I throw it out. In it's newest condition however, it is an amazing eyeliner! But of course, all things must come to an end and makeup is definitely one of those things. The Urban Decay Eyeliner in Pervesion has changed my mind on their infamous formula. Previously, I have tried Zero and Whiskey and it failed to impress me...the staying power wasn't great and the eyeliner never set. However, Perversion is so much better than the other colors I've tried...it lasts and when it sets, it stays in place! This week, I will also try to see if my Tarte multiplEYE Lash Primer is dried up or not... I've had it for awhile now, It was great when I first got it, it added so much length to my lashes! But, like I said earlier, makeup doesn't last forever! Lastly, I am giving another chance for the BareMinerals Lash Domination Mascara to impress me. Hopefully when the formula dries a bit more, it will work better for my lashes.

For lips, I will be mixing up my lipsticks but sticking to my newest lip liner, Mac Lip Pencil in Subculture! I adore my lip liner in Vino, so I wanted to try out another lip liner from them! I wanted a pinky nude lip liner, and this was recommended to me by one of the ladies at Mac. Definitely excited to try this out!

What products are you guys using this week? Have you guys tried any of these products? Let me know in the comment section below!

Makeup MAYhem Day 25 - Skincare Routine Part 2

Hello guys! So today, I will be letting you guys know what skincare products I am currently using! This post is long overdue, I've have multiple people prodding me to get around to posting my skincare routine. To be honest I haven't been completely satisfied with all the products I have been using. Then, I realized that I was being silly and if I were to continue to delay the post, I would never get around to posting this at all! As such, now we have a post detailing the skincare products I am currently using in my lengthy. Some of these I consider holy grail status, others I'm anxious to finish so I can try something new!

Just a heads up, this is a long post, so I hope you guys are ready for reading it! Hope you enjoy and be sure to check out Part 1, where I talk about my Skincare Philosophy and Tips on Having Clearer Skin.

In the mornings, I like to first start off with the the Tarte Pure Maracuja Oil. This is the first facial oil I've tried, and I have to say that I have noticed a difference in how bright my skin is the more I use it. Then, I go in with the Clinique All About Eyes Serum to depuff my eyes in the morning. Once that is settled, I will go in with an eye cream to moisturize my dry under eye circles. Currently, I am finishing up the StriVectin-SD Eye Concentrate for Wrinkles and the CVS Age Refine Eye Cream. Both of these eye creams are very moisturizing...but I haven't noticed much change in the fine lines underneath my eyes (which exist after the many years of pulling on the sensitive area to put my contact lenses into my eyes). After that, I go in with the Kiehls Photo-Age Correction High Potency Spot Treatment, focusing on the areas were I have dark sots on my face. Lastly, I go in with the Elizabeth Arden Perpetual Moisture to moisturize my face. Since this has no SPF, I then go in with a moisturizer containing sunscreen.

These three moisturizers are ones that I am currently trying finish before buying another moisturizer with sunscreen. Unfortunately, none of these moisturizers I would recommend to my readers. Out of these three, Avalon Organics Vitaminc C Renewal Moisture Plus Lotion SPF 15 is the thickest in consistency and has the tendency to give me a white cast. Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream Sun Defense for Face SPF 50 (Review), is the most liquidy but has an awful fragerance. Lastly, Puristics Totally Ageless Daily Anti-Aging SPF 15 has the best consistency, but gives an weird residue on my face when I rub it into my skin. With these three moisturizers, I usually mix it with Elizabeth Arden Perpetual Moisture to make it a lot easier to apply and to prevent a white cast. For a moisturizer with sunscreens that I have used in the past and recommend, check my review of Clarins UV Plus HP Day Screen. After all of this dries and sets into my skin, I start applying makeup on my face (if I'm feeling fancy!)

When I'm cleaning my face at the end of the night, I like to first start off with an eye makeup remover to remove any eye makeup I am wearing. I am currently using the Up & Up Waterproof Makeup Remover, which is Target's answer to the cult favorite Neutrogena Makeup Remover. After I remove my eye makeup, I use wash my face using a gentle cleanser to remove the rest of my makeup. I am currently using, Kolarmy Active Cleansing Milk for that task. This cleansing milk is nowhere near as strong as a product I would like to use for this step, wouldn't recommend and waiting for it to run out before I can try something else. In the past, Olay Cleansers have worked very well for me in this step.

Next, I will jump into the shower and use a stronger cleanser with my Olay Cleansing Brush (a drugstore alternative to the uber popular and uber expensive Clarisonic). I am currently using Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Wash. I like to have a bit of salicylic acid in my cleansing products to help prevent breakouts to occur. This does dry out my skin slightly, so I don't recommend this for dry skin. Once I am finished cleansing, I exfoliate my skin using the St. Ives' Blemish Control Apricot Scrub. I can use this exfoliator every day, but I know with a lot of people this is a bit too harsh for them to use everyday. If that is the case, the Sensitive Skin version of the scrub is where I will direct you too. Once I am finished exfoliating, I go in with a toner. Currently, I am trying to finish up the Avalon Organics Vitamin C Renewal Balancing Toner before I decide to chuck it in the trashcan. This is probably the worse toner I've tried, highly regret making this purchase. It leaves a weird milky film residue on my skin when I use it. Needless to say, just because the product is organic, doesn't make it a good product.

For my body, I use mainly these two products. I use Dove Sensitive Skin Nourishing Body Wash with a loofa to make sure my body is squeaky clean. For the loofa, I try to get an exfoliating one, because I haven't gotten around to finding a body scrub that I like. For my feet, I use Freeman Bare Foot Peppermint and Plum Foot Scrub with Tea Tree Oil. This is probably my third foot scrub from the, and I have to say that this works like charm (and my feet go through a lot of damage)!

Once I finished washing my face, I go into my night time routine which contains the majority of products I am using in the day. Unlike my daytime routine where I am usually very consistent on using all of the products, I am usually more lax about my nighttime routine. When I feel like going through all the steps, I start off with the the Tarte Pure Maracuja Oil. Then, I will go in with an eye cream to moisturize my dry under eye circles with StriVectin-SD Eye Concentrate for Wrinkles or CVS Age Refine Eye Cream. After that, I go in with the Kiehl's Photo-Age Correction High Potency Spot Treatment, focusing on the areas were I have dark sots on my face. I haven't used enough of the spot treatment to form an opinion on it, but I will definitely let you guys know what I think about it! Lastly, I go in with the Elizabeth Arden Good Night Cream to moisturize my face. On days when I don't feel like going through all the steps, I usually stick to just eye and night creams and go to sleep!

At least once a week, I exfoliate my lips using Lush Mint Juleps Lip Scrub or Santa's Lip Scrub. By doing so, I am able to ensure my lips will be perfect to put matte or bright lipstick on. After exfoliating my lips, I go in with Maybelline Baby Lips in Peppermint to moisturize my lips. Absolutely adore these products here, definitely recommend you try if you haven't already.

For acne spot prevention and treatment, there are a couple of things I have in my arsenal. I use Noxzema Ultimate Clear Anti-Blemish Pads twice a day, usually once in the morning and once at night. I have gone through countless of these pads, and now I consider it to be an essential in my collection! For spot treatment during the day, I usually stick to either Kate Somerville Eradikate Acne Treatment or Clearasil Daily Clear Tinted Acne Treatment Cream. Both of these contain sulfur, which is not as strong as salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide, but they are  still very effective. When I am using these multiple times a day, I notice a difference in diminishing my acne by day three, if not earlier. Between the two spot treatments, I recommend the Kate Somerville Eradikate, it has a tendency to work a lot faster than the Clearasil one. Only downside is that you have to use a Q-tip to grab the product out of the Kate Somerville (and the price is more hefty) At night, I would use the Clearasil Daily Clear Vanishing Acne Treatment Cream. This product has benzoyl peroxide, and is a bit harsh on the skin... but nevertheless every effective. It has a tendency to dry out my skin, so I honestly don't gravitate towards using it. In the past, Clinique Acne Solutions Gel has been very effective on my skin... I've been meaning to go repurchase it but as you can see, I still have a lot of product to finish before doing so!

About once a week, I try to use a mask to ensure that my skin isn't being clogged up with products that I may have missed. I alternate between Freeman Avocado and Oatmeal Facial Clay Mask (which focuses on cleaning out my pores) and Lush Cupcake Mask (which is great for whenever I am breaking out). If you aren't oily skin, I would not recommend Cupcake mask, because this will strip the oils away from your face, causing your skin to be drier. Otherwise, I highly recommend both of these masks!

Once in awhile, I will opt to use a paper mask. These are very popular in Asia...and rightly so! The Young Skin Cucumber Mask is very hydrating, perfect for the days when my skin is feeling dry. I stock up on these when I am in Canada, the Asian markets over there have so many goodies that we don't have over here! About once or twice a month I go in with Biore Pore Strips to further ensure that my pores are clean. Usually the Freeman mask does a really good job at cleaning out my pores, which is the reason why I don't use this as often!

Last, but not least, for any scars on my body I use the  ScarZone Scar Diminishing Cream. This product I have used for years, highly recommend it! It's the only thing I use to clear up my scars, and it has worked wonders!

Long post right? So, just for a recap, the products I recommend are as follows:
Elizabeth Arden Good Night Cream, Elizabeth Arden Perpetual Moisture Cream, Freeman Avocado and Oatmeal Facial Mask, Freeman Peppermint and Plum Foot Scrub with Tea Tree Oil, Kate Somerville Eradikate Acne Treatment, Lush Cupcake Mask, Lush Lip Scrubs, Maybelline Baby Lips, Noxema Ultimate Clear Acne Pads, ScarZone Scar Diminish Cream, and Tarte Pure Maracuja Oil.

What products do you guys use in your skincare routine? Do you guys have any products you would like to recommend? Let me know in the comment section below!

October and November Beauty Favorites

Hello there! Welcome to my October and November Favorites. I didn't get around to posting one for October, but here I am sharing with you guys the favorite products I have been loving all month. I noticed after coming up with this list that it is mainly high end products... my apologies. Can't help what you love though!

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Powder Duo in Dark Brown
I honestly don't know what I would do without this product. I was able to use this product easily on a variety of skintones when I did makeup for a fashion show, which further shows how awesome this product is! I have been loving this product consistently within the past couple of months and I serious don't know what I'd do without it. I posted a review of this product here.

Clinique Chubby Stick Intense in 03 Mightiest Maraschino
I've been needing a beautiful red like this in my life. I have tried a multitude of other reds, and so far, nothing compares to this red. I forgotten how much I love the Clinique Chubby Sticks, they are more moisturizing then the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains and the Jordana Twist and Shine Moisturizing Balm Stain but do not have the lasting powder that the other two do. Regardless, I love the color of this product and I have a feeling that this may be my favorite red this holiday season.

Inglot Matte 353 (Top Left)
Once again, this pops up on my favorites list ( I seriously can't help it yo). Its the perfect highlight for my browbone, and it works wonders to blend eyeshadows so that my eyeshadows blend seamlessly and aren't harsh. Don't know what I'd do without this eyeshadow!

L'Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black Mascara
Where have you been all my life?! I don't know how I was able to survive without you for so long! You give so much volume to my lashes, it makes me wonderful how crazy I must be for not having you in my collection for such a long time!

Mac Cranberry Eyeshadow
This, (along with every other cranberry like eyeshadow in my collection), have been abused like nothing else now that it has finally become fall season in Florida. I love this color paired with all the golds in my collection (like UD Half Baked, Mac Amber Lights, etc).

Nars Blush in Deep Throat and Highlight in Devotee
(from Guy Bourdin One Night Stand Cheek Palette)
In love with the blush and the highlighter from the collection! For some reason or another, I have been wanting shimmer for my highlight and the shade is absolutely beautiful! I finally understand the rave over Nars Deep Throat, it is so flattering and looks absolutely lovely as a blush! (Review on this will come up soon!)

Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Stellar (Limited Edition-2012 Holiday Collection)
This is a well loved blush for the colder months (as seen by the fact that I have hit pan on it!). The reason why I love this blush for the fall is that there are a lot of times where I don't want my cheeks to look rosy (especially when I am sick and my face is red all over!). As such, this is a natural flush on cheeks that looks absolutely lovely! This is pretty versatile throughout light to medium skin tones. The main reason why I hit pan on this is because I kept using it when I was doing my friends makeup!

Random Favorites:

Song:
Troublemaker
I was completely addicted to this song in October/November. Ask anyone. Everyone was so fed up with me attempting to sing in Korean, dancing to this song...etc. I usually listen to this song in Korean (don't even both with English subs at all), but for you guys I left a video embedded link with it English subbed! No idea how accurate the subs is though, I'm nowhere near fluent in Korean.

TV Show:
Empress Ki
While this TV show may not be the most historically accurate of things (in fact, a good portion of this is made up), it still lends to be one of the best Korean Dramas I have watched thus far. It is absolutely amazing, so amazing that my friends who don't watch sageuks (aka historical Korean dramas) watch this. Its absolutely brilliant in acting and the scenes in this drama is absolutely beautiful. I adore Ha Ji Won (the future Empress) to death and she completely delivers in this drama, hands down.

Wishlist Wednesday: To Reward Myself (Holiday Kits Style)

Welcome to another Wishlist Wednesday! In this edition I will be showing you the holiday kits that I really do want to have in my collection (even though it may not make much sense considering how I already have too much for one person anyways...). All of these are from high end makeup brands, ranging from brands where I do own a product or two to brands where I don't own anything. As always, I will be detailing which products I will most likely buy and why I will or won't.

Benefit Countdown to Love Advent Calender
Will I Buy: Maybe
Why: This is probably one of the most adorable ideas I have seen a makeup company come across with. Basically, every day in December you get to open up and there is a little sample of one of Benefit's famed products. While I may not buy it for myself, there is of course a high likely chance I will buy it for an awesome friend!

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette
Will I Buy: Possibly
Why: I so, so, so badly want this palette. I have always been a huge admirer of Hourglass products, but I haven't spiked my courage up to pick something up from them. Not to mention, while I love highlighting my face, I'm kinda skeptical with how amazing this product is in comparison to everything else in the market. Maybe if I do well in my classes I will splurge!
Marc Jacobs Beauty The Showstopper 7-Piece Holiday Set
Will I Buy: Probably Not
Why: This kit would be a great value kit for those who want to try Marc Jacobs beauty products. Only reason why I don't want this is because there are other products I want more that are selling in the Holidays!

NARS Guy Bourdin Holiday Collection Limited Edition One Night Stand Cheek Palette
Will I Buy: Probably  Purchased
Why: The last time Nars had a cheek palette (which I did not pick up) was two years ago. I have heavily regretted it since then and as such, this is probably something I will pick up eventually (I'm using this as a motivator for me to have beautiful grades this semester...if my grades are good I will pick this up, if I don't...then this will get left behind :( )

Tarte Off the Cuff Amazonian 12HR Blush Palette and Bracelet
Will I Buy: Yes
Why: Blame Vanessa over at Citron and Guavaberry (can I just have this as my reason?!) But besides that, I love Tarte's blushes (just hit pan on one from last Holiday collection)... and I just can't imagine my collection without these. Will probably hit this up during the Sephora VIB Sale ;)

Too Faced All I Want For Christmas
Will I Get This: Maybe
Why: I currently don't own any Too Faced products, and this kit would be a great way to be introduced to them. Why I do want this a lot, I'm also eyeing at other products a bit more... so this is a maybe. Highly tempted though.

Urban Decay Vice 2 Palette
Will I Buy: Probably Not
Why: Unfortunately the amount of eyeshadows I own is a bit ridiculous. However, this Vice 2 Palette was more appealing than the original Vice Palette. The packaging of this is absolutely beautiful, and the swatches that I have seen on this is AMAZING. Maybe I will get this as a present to a friend.... but besides that, won't be added to my collection.

Have any of you guys picked out anything from any of the Holiday collection yet? If so, what did you pick up? Feel free to recommend me products that you think I should try and all in the comment section below!

Series: Playing Makeup Artist 10/12/13

Hey guys! So today I will be starting a new series on this blog, where I will be posting myself doing other people's makeup. I have a tendency of doing my friends' and my sister's makeup... and I do it a lot! Today's post is featuring one of my best friends, Insiya. As you can see, her face is pretty much flawless, so there wasn't much help needed... but I love enhancing her eyes! I'm not sure how often I can abuse my friends and play makeup artist... depends on who wants to volunteer and all! :D

Makeup Used:
Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Powder in Dark Brown
Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel Buxom Best Lash Mascara in Blackest Black
Covergirl and Olay Simply Ageless Concealer in Light
Jordana Twist and Shine Lip Balm Stain in Cranberry Crush
Jordana FabuLiner in Black
Mac's Satin Taupe
Rimmel ScandalEYES Kohl Kajal Waterproof Eyeliner in Black
Tarte Blush in Stellar
Wet n Wild Color Icon Eyeshadow Trio in Walking on Eggshells (Eyelid Color)
Wet n Wild Fergie Eyeshadow Primer

Makeup Application:
1) I first primed Insiya's eyelids using Wet n Wild Fergie Eyeshadow Primer.
2) Then I filled in her brows using the darker shade (right side) of the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Powder in Dark Brown and set her brows using the Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel
3) I then applied the nude eyeshadow from Wet n Wild Color Icon Eyeshadow Trio in Walking on Eggshells onto the first half of her eyelids. Then, I used Mac's Satin Taupe and applied the outer half and into the outer V, making sure that all the makeup is blended in throughly.
4) I then applied Rimmel ScandalEYES Kohl Kahal Waterproof Eyeliner in Black on her waterline and tightline. Then, I used Jordana FabuLiner in Black to on her upper lash line to create a cat eye.
5) I then applied Buxom Lash Mascara in Blackest Black on her eyelashes (not that she needs much of it, her eyelashes are already long as it is!)
6) I then lightly used Covergirl and Olay Simply Ageless Concealer in Light to cover her dark circles and some discoloration under her eyes, while brightening the undereye area.
7) Lastly, I applied Tarte 24HR Amazonian Clay Blush in Stellar on her cheeks.

Have you guys done makeup on your friends lately? What do you guys think of the makeup look? Let me know in the comment section below!
