Where Can I Buy: NuMe.com

Hey guys! So today I will be doing a review on the NuMe Pure Remedy Repair Shampoo and Conditioner! I just finished with this product so I figured it would be a good time to review!

The shampoo comes out of the bottle as clear while the conditioner comes out of the bottle as white. Both foam very nicely in my hair, which I like. There is a nice fresh fragrance in both the shampoo and conditioner, which I really like! I don't think it is an over powering fragrance. For those of you that have concerns about parabens or paraffins, you would be happy to find out that these two products do not have either of those two ingredients! The price point of this shampoo and conditioner may be a bit of a sore point, but NuMe consistently offers coupons and other sorts of deals that can be used on their hair care products.

Overall, I think that this a good shampoo and conditioner. I did feel my hair was more nourished and some of the damage in my hair was hydrated after using this duo. Prior to using this duo, my hair suffered mild to medium damage towards my ends. After showering, my hair was felt a lot smoother and shinier! My hair was detangled and cleaned thoroughly with the products! The dryness of my hair and my split ends was reduced.

However, I do not see dramatic results that would justify me purchasing this again. I feel like I can get the same, if not better results with Clear or Tresemme products. While I do like this product a lot, I do not see myself reaching for a product that I can not grab as easily as other products. As many of you may know, I am a huge fan of the NuMe Magic Wand, but that does not extend to their shampoo and conditioner (even though I wish it did).

Have you guys tried these products yet? If so, what do you guys think? Let me know in the comment section below!

Spotted: Em Cosmetics at Lancome - The Company Outlet at Premium Outlets

Hey guys! So I was shopping...once more... and I spotted something really interesting!  I found Em Cosmetics by Michelle Phan at the The Company Lancome at Premium Outlets! I have long admired Michelle and I am very excited to see her products here! As you guys may well know, Lancome and Em Cosmetics are both under the umbrella of L'Oreal which is why it would make sense to see them in the same store together! I was really surprised to see Em Cosmetics there because, if I am correct, they haven't opened up their flagship store in New York City yet (although there have been quite a bit of pop ups and the website is up and running!) They had a pretty decent selection (as you guys can see in the pictures in this blog!) I did not end up picking up any of the products because by the time I saw this...I had already overstepped my limit! However, the next time I am at the Premium Outlets I will definitely pick a couple things up to review for you guys!

The products that I spotted were as follows:
Artistic Eye Color Palette (various shades)
Creamy Color Sheer Lipstick (various shades)
Concealer Mixing Palette (various shades)
Lash Gallery Mascara (not sure which one, forgot to check!)
Lip Color Mixing Palette (various shades)
Love Me For Me - Flawless Powder Foundation (various shades)
Pillow Plush - Cushiony Lip Balm (various shades)
The Party Life Palette

The prices for the products are discounted slightly (a couple of dollars here and there, depending on the product!). To locate a Premium Outlet near you, click here.

What products are you interested in trying from Michelle Phan's makeup line? Or is it a skip for you? Let me know in the comment section below!

New Blog Layout!

Hey guys! So I would just like to make a quick post announcing that, as many of you can see, my blog has a new layout! YAAAAAAAY. It's been a bit overdue (or so I think so). I've had this layout for about 6 months now...and as such, I decided sometime during winter break I would make a new layout!

Old Layout:

New Layout:

The new layout took about 9 hours for me to do in total (so that includes, picking a color scheme, making the graphics, etc etc). I'm quite happy with the result of this layout, its much more chic and a lot brighter then my old one (although I know one day I'm going to do something dark as anything and i'm sure everyone will be like WHAAAAAAT).

Let me know what you guys think in the comment section below! I would love to hear constructive criticisms and tips from other bloggers/designers on how I can improve!

BareMinerals Well Rested

Maybelline Baby Skin Pore Eraser
Nars Guy Bourdin One Night Stand Cheek Palette (Devottee, Laguna, and Gouloe) - Review

Mac Eyeshadows in Amber Lights, Cranberry, and Saddle
Rimmel Scandaleyes Kohl Kajal Waterproof Eyeliner in Black

Lips:
Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Smitten

Eye Makeup Application:
1) Primed my eyes using Sephora Eyeshadow Primer
2) Placed Inglot AMC Shine 07 on the first half of my eyelids
3) Placed Mac Eyeshadow in Amber Lights in the center of my lids
4) Placed Mac Eyeshadow in Saddle on the outer third of my lids
5) Added Mac Eyeshadow in Cranberry lightly on the outer third of my lid to warm up the color even more!
6) Highlighted my browbone using Inglot Matte 353
7) Lined my upper lash line using Jordana FabuLiner in Black.
8) Used Rimmel Scandaleyes Kohl Kajal Waterproof Eyeliner in Black on my tightline and waterline
9) Applied Benefit's They're Real! Mascara on my lashes.

A Holiday Makeup Look!

Hey guys! So today I will be showing you guys a Holiday Makeup Look! I used all drugstore products for my eyes, so the eye makeup should be easy to replicate! In this post I also have a product that I am very excited to have, that is the Maybelline Baby Skin Pore Eraser. I have been eyeing the Benefit Porefessional for awhile now but I have not gotten the courage to splurge on it...especially since I already had a primer that kinda failed on me. But since Target had a 10% off this weekend, combined with the me spotting this product, I figured I'd pick it up for you guys and review it for you guys!

Face:
Bare Minerals Well Rested
Bobbi Brown Corrector in Porcelain Peach
Lancome Teint Miracle in Buff 6W
Maybelline Baby Skin Pore Eraser
Nars Guy Bourdin One Night Stand Palette (Deep Throat)
Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in Transparent
Wet n Wild Bronzer in Reserve Your Cabana

Eyes:
Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel
Benefit They're Real Mascara
Jordana Easy Brow in Taupe
Jordana Easy Liner in Black
Rimmel Scandaleyes Kohl Kajal Eyeliner in Black
Wet n Wild Comfort Zone Palette
Wet n Wild Fergie Eyeshadow Primer
Wet n Wild Walking on Eggshells Palette

Lips:
Nyx Megashine Lipgloss in Beige

Makeup Application:
1) Used my fingers to apply the Maybelline Baby Skin Pore Eraser.
2) This time around I did my eye makeup first and then moved onto my face. I started out by priming my eye lids for eyeshadows using Wet n Wild Fergie Eyeshadow Primer. I then used Wet n Wild Comfort Zone Palette Browbone shade on the left on the first half of my eyelids. I then used the Defining shade on right on the last half of my eyelids. Due to the duo chrome nature of the eyeshadow, that is how it is photographed! Isn't it pretty! Make sure to blend here to get rid of the harsh lines!
3) I then applied Lancome Teint Miracle Foundation in Buff 6W all over my skin and then used Bobbi Brown Corrector in Porcelain Peach and Bare Minerals Well Rested to set the concealer.
4) I then finished up my eyemakeup. Using the same defining shade from the Wet n Wild Comfort Zone Palette, I applied it on my outer two-thirds of my lower lash line. I used the same Browbone shade and placed that on the inner third of my lower lash line. For my browbone highlight, I used the Browbone shade from Wet n Wild Walking on Eggshells Trio. I then used Jordana Easy Liner in Black on my upper lash line and Rimmel Scandaleyes Kohl Kajal Waterproof Eyeliner in Black for both my tightline and lower lashline. To finish up my eyes, I used Benefit They're Real Mascara.
5) For my eyebrows, I used Jordana Easy Brow in Taupe to fill in and Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel to set them!
6) Lastly, for my face I used Wet n Wild Bronzer in Reserve Your Cabana as my highlight and Nars Blush in Deep Throad (from the Nars Guy Bourdin One Night Stand Cheek Palette). I then set my makeup using Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in Transparent. For the lips, I used NYX Megashine Lipgloss in Beige.

What do you guys think of the look? This look actually photographed a lot less dramatic then it was in real life. I'm pretty sure my parents thought I was going out clubbing or something....

What holiday makeup looks have you guys been wearing? Let me know in the comment section below!

This look focused on trying some newer products, testing them to give a review sometime in the future (the new products being Make Up Forever Aqua Cream Eyeshadow in Shade 13 and Urban Decay Deslick Makeup Setting Spray)

Stila Lip Glaze in Believe (Limited Edition - Holiday 2011)
Urban Decay Deslick Makeup Setting Spray
Victoria's Secret Eyeliner in Dark Brown

NOTD: Featuring Wet n Wild's Metallica and Root of All Evil

Hey guys! I have another Nails of the Day Post for you guys featuring Wet n Wild Nail Polishes. I'm currently loving this nail combination, it is completely awesome! The nail polishes used were Wet n Wild Wet Shine Clear Nail Protector (as a base coat and top coat), Wet n Wild Wet Shine Nail Polish in Metallica and Wet n Wild MegaLast in Root of All Evil (kinda love the name for this one...is that bad?!). The nail polish were really opaque, I only used one coat for all the colors! While I may have done the best job in painting my nails this time around, I do love the color combination on my nails right now!

On the side note, these pictures were taken with my new camera... Nikon D5100! Still playing with it, but its AMAZING so far. Such a change from a point and shoot camera.

What nail color combination have you been rocking? Let me know in the comment section below!

October and November Beauty Favorites

Hello there! Welcome to my October and November Favorites. I didn't get around to posting one for October, but here I am sharing with you guys the favorite products I have been loving all month. I noticed after coming up with this list that it is mainly high end products... my apologies. Can't help what you love though!

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Powder Duo in Dark Brown
I honestly don't know what I would do without this product. I was able to use this product easily on a variety of skintones when I did makeup for a fashion show, which further shows how awesome this product is! I have been loving this product consistently within the past couple of months and I serious don't know what I'd do without it. I posted a review of this product here.

Clinique Chubby Stick Intense in 03 Mightiest Maraschino
I've been needing a beautiful red like this in my life. I have tried a multitude of other reds, and so far, nothing compares to this red. I forgotten how much I love the Clinique Chubby Sticks, they are more moisturizing then the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains and the Jordana Twist and Shine Moisturizing Balm Stain but do not have the lasting powder that the other two do. Regardless, I love the color of this product and I have a feeling that this may be my favorite red this holiday season.

Inglot Matte 353 (Top Left)
Once again, this pops up on my favorites list ( I seriously can't help it yo). Its the perfect highlight for my browbone, and it works wonders to blend eyeshadows so that my eyeshadows blend seamlessly and aren't harsh. Don't know what I'd do without this eyeshadow!

L'Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black Mascara
Where have you been all my life?! I don't know how I was able to survive without you for so long! You give so much volume to my lashes, it makes me wonderful how crazy I must be for not having you in my collection for such a long time!

Mac Cranberry Eyeshadow
This, (along with every other cranberry like eyeshadow in my collection), have been abused like nothing else now that it has finally become fall season in Florida. I love this color paired with all the golds in my collection (like UD Half Baked, Mac Amber Lights, etc).

Nars Blush in Deep Throat and Highlight in Devotee
(from Guy Bourdin One Night Stand Cheek Palette)
In love with the blush and the highlighter from the collection! For some reason or another, I have been wanting shimmer for my highlight and the shade is absolutely beautiful! I finally understand the rave over Nars Deep Throat, it is so flattering and looks absolutely lovely as a blush! (Review on this will come up soon!)

Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Stellar (Limited Edition-2012 Holiday Collection)
This is a well loved blush for the colder months (as seen by the fact that I have hit pan on it!). The reason why I love this blush for the fall is that there are a lot of times where I don't want my cheeks to look rosy (especially when I am sick and my face is red all over!). As such, this is a natural flush on cheeks that looks absolutely lovely! This is pretty versatile throughout light to medium skin tones. The main reason why I hit pan on this is because I kept using it when I was doing my friends makeup!

Random Favorites:

Song:
Troublemaker
I was completely addicted to this song in October/November. Ask anyone. Everyone was so fed up with me attempting to sing in Korean, dancing to this song...etc. I usually listen to this song in Korean (don't even both with English subs at all), but for you guys I left a video embedded link with it English subbed! No idea how accurate the subs is though, I'm nowhere near fluent in Korean.

TV Show:
Empress Ki
While this TV show may not be the most historically accurate of things (in fact, a good portion of this is made up), it still lends to be one of the best Korean Dramas I have watched thus far. It is absolutely amazing, so amazing that my friends who don't watch sageuks (aka historical Korean dramas) watch this. Its absolutely brilliant in acting and the scenes in this drama is absolutely beautiful. I adore Ha Ji Won (the future Empress) to death and she completely delivers in this drama, hands down.

Review of the Anastasia Brow Powder Duo in Dark Brown

Hey guys! So today, I have a review of the Anastasia Brow Powder Duo in Dark Brown! This is a much beloved product of mine, and I have a video with my thoughts on it (it's about 5 minutes). Overall, I highly recommend this product (even though it is $23). The price tag is a bit hefty, but I haven't touched any brow products as much as I have since this purchase!

Review: Inglot Freedom System Eyeshadows (353, 07, 09, 12)

Top Left to Right: Matte 353, AMC Shine 07
Bottom Left to Right: AMC Shine 09, AMC Shine 12

Price: Freedom System Empty Palette ($10), Each Individual Eyeshadow ($6), Total Palette Costs ($34)
Where Can It Be Purchased: Beautylish, Inglot, and Select Macys

Hey guys! So today I will be doing a review of the Inglot Freedom System Eyeshadows. I have here four colors I purchased back in July, and I've finally gotten around to settling what my final thoughts are on this palette! This review was requested by several readers of the blog!

The packaging of this palette is very secure. I am very pleased with how sturdy the packaging is! This is one of the few palettes I own that I feel extremely comfortable traveling with. This palette has a nice weight to it and along with a very strong magnet that keeps the lid attached, I don't feel like my eyeshadows are in danger of being destroyed by minor things.

I picked out four colors in this palette without checking any reviews online. After swatching for a good half an hour in the Inglot counter at Macy's, I decided on creating a somewhat "rose gold" eyeshadow palette. Out of the four colors I picked out, only one color is matte, the rest have a shimmer finish.

Swatches from Left to Right: Matte 353, AMC Shine 07, AMC Shine 09, AMC Shine 12

Matte 353: A cream, off white color. The pigmentation here is nice, the formulation is not chalky. Easy to blend on the skin, and has been a favorite of mine for highlighting my browbone.

AMC Shine 07: A pale gold color. This is the least pigmented color in the palette, but the pigmentation is still good. Beautiful formulation, is not too shimmery on the eyes and is not chalky. One of my favorite golds in my makeup collection.

AMC Shine 09: A rose gold color. This is more on the peachy side of rose gold. Once again, the formulation of this product isn't too shimmery and it isn't chalky.

AMC Shine 12: A rusty, cranberry color. This is a very wearable cranberry color, can be built up and to create a smokey look and can be used lightly to create some dimension in your eyes. One of my most worn eyeshadows in the fall.

I don't have much to complain about these eyeshadows to be honest. The pigmentation and staying power is really good (especially if you wear a eyeshadow primer!) These colors blend very easily and they swatch and apply true to color. Out of this palette, my most used eyeshadow is definitely Matte 353, I can't live without that eyeshadow because I use it for my highlight on a very consistent basis! The only con I have against this palette is that I can't see the number of the eyeshadow in this palette because the magnet is too strong! Besides that, all I can say is that I can't wait until I try more Inglot eyeshadows!

Have you guys tried Inglot eyeshadows? Any recommendations for me? Let me know in the comments below!

Hey guys! So today I will be doing my first video review, featuring the Jordana 12 Hr Made to Last Eyshadow Pencil. TAG: 10 Beauty Things I Suck At

Hey guys! Today I will be showcasing the 10 Beauty Things I Suck At! I was tagged by Nikki over at Fairest's Favorites (whose an awesome Florida based blogger like I am). This is just one of the many tags that I have to catch up on, so if you are interested in seeing what 10 things I suck at then just keep on reading!

1. Keeping a consistent skincare routine.
Yes, shame on me as a beauty blogger and being THAT girl. Well here's the thing....I have a semi-consistent routine. I definitely remove my makeup (on days that I am wearing it) and moisturize my lips with a lip conditioner. I usually cleanse my face using whatever cleanser I have at the moment (too choosy with cleansers to figure out which ones I like) and an exfoliator (St. Ives' Apricot Scrub).

And that's pretty much where it ends for the 'consistent basis'. Yes, that means I usually don't spot treat my acne on a daily basis, or use a night cream often, or use an eye cream often...But now that it is winter time...this has a habit of changing. My skin gets drier, and I can't survive with no moisture on my skin. And then, the latter will be done on a more frequent basis. Winter in Florida doesn't last long (and it also comes and goes...) so as such, I have a very bad skin care routine :/

2. Drinking Water
Something so important that it's awful that I am sucking hard core at it! I've gotten better, to wear I will at least drink water several times a week. I want to get to the point that I am able to drink water several times a daily easily, without being squeamish about it. Not only is it good to hydrate you, but its also good for you skin (all my friends with flawless skin swears by drinking galleons and galleons of water)

3. Wearing False Lashes
I'm sure that my eye makeup look would look so much better if I wore false lashes to go with them... One of these days I will wear false lashes for every other eye makeup look so that you can get the full effect of the look (especially on those dramatic eye makeup days...where my natural lashes + my favorite mascara doesn't do the look justice).

4. Washing my makeup brushes
Probably one of my worse habits I have... I know its completely unsanitary and probably the cause of my breakouts...and I also know that my makeup doesn't apply as well with dirty brushes as clean brushes. I just have a difficult time washing my brushes because I have quite a bit (around 20+) and I usually do it all at once (Hence my procrastination).

5. Throwing away expired makeup
If there is anything that can top number 4, it is this one. Boy oh boy do things stay in my collection for awhile... the worse offender being mascaras (which have approximately a 3 month lifespan). I can't bear throw away expensive mascaras after its been opened for only 3 months...especially if I didn't use them on a constant basis... so they stay in my collection for awhile (and I'm not going to go and admit how long some of mine have existed...its kinda embarassing).

6. Doing my makeup...quickly
I've always envied girls who have the capability to do their makeup quickly and run out of the door and look flawless. Lately, I haven't been able to get my routine under 10 minutes...much less 30 minutes. So, I now have either become the girl that has caused the whole party to be late...or the girl that has to prepare way early in advance.

7. Picking at my skin.
Any and all acne scarring has been caused by me. Yes, me. I've never actually started picking at my skin until the past 2 years or so, and as of lately I've agitated my pimples til the point that they burst. As such, I now have scarring (and some minor craters) on my face. Not to mention, my scarring tends to be of the hyperpigmentation nature, meaning that my scars tend to be darker then the skin color.

8. Being creative with my hair.
For my friends who see me on a constant basis (or for my very dedicated readers), you will realize my hair is usually dull. It's either straight, in a pony tail, or if I'm feeling special, curled. I just purchased the Goody Spin Pin, so my hair has now starting to traverse to being in a bun every now and then. One of these days I'll have the patience to sit down and braid my hair...but until then my hair will be BORING.

9) Impulse Buying
I'm not sure if this should be in here or not, but I felt like I should add this anyways. For products that do have coupons (mainly drugstore), I wish I wouldn't impulse buy as much and save more money on the products that I purchased. I get the newspaper every Sunday and yet at times I don't use makeup coupons and combine with other deals to buy products...I just end up buying whatever I felt like it instead of being a saavy shopper. Sometimes I'm a really good shopper, but most of the time I'm horrid at it.

10) Keeping up with my eyebrows.
One of these days I will tweeze my eyebrows in between my threading appointments so I don't have to go so often. Getting my eyebrows threaded does add up after awhile, so I should prolong it as long as I could. I tell myself every time that I could save money so much easier that way, but I need to be consistent with it or else it won't work.

Thank you once more for tagging me Nikki! As such, I hereby tag the following bloggers:

3) Used Anastasia Beverly Hills' Brow Powder in Dark Brown to fill my eyebrows, used the lighter color to fill the first half of my brow and used the darker color to fill the last half of my eyebrow. I then used Jordana EasyBrow in Taupe to fill in any additional spots in my eyebrow and to create a stronger brow. I then used Anastasia Bevely Hills Clear Brow Gel (Review) to set the brows.
4) Applied Urban Decay YDK from my Naked 2 Palette in the first 2/3rds of my eyelid. I then applied Wet n Wild Silent Treatment 'Eyelid' color in the middle of my eyelid and the Wet n Wild Silent Treatment 'Crease' color on the outer third of my eyelid. I then used Urban Decay Bootycall from the Naked 2 Palette as underneath my browbone as my highlight and used it lightly to blend out the rest of my eyeshadow.
5) I then used Wet n Wild Bronzer in Reserve Your Cabana to highlight my face and used Wet n Wild Color Icon Blush in  Mellow Wine as my blush. I bronzed my face using Rimmel Natural Bronzer in SunDance.
6) Lastly, I used Elf Studio HD Powder to set my makeup and applied Lancome Cream Lipstick in Love It on my lips!

For my hair, I curled using the NuMe 19MM Magic Wand (Review).
