#MakeuplessMonday Review: Olay Professional Pro X Cleansing Brush

Hello guys! Last weeks #MakeuplessMonday Review featured Olay Professional Pro X Cleansing Brush. I've been using this cleansing brush for over a year now, and finally got around to reviewing it! Quick overview for my blog readers: I do enjoy it, but I would not recommend this for those of you who have sensitive skin. I find that this can be abrasive for me because it rotates in a complete circle (those 360 degrees can be a bit... too much at times). However, if you are looking for an alternative to higher end cleansing brushes such as the uber popular Clarisonic, definitely check this out! This is priced for about 30 dollars (before any couponing is involved!) and the replacement brush heads costs $10 for two! A cleansing brush is nice to have because it cleans your face much more thoroughly than your hands ever could! It also removes makeup very effectively (especially pesky, heavy duty makeup like Estee Lauder Double Wear!)

Have you tried any cleansing brushes? What is your opinion on them? Let me know in the comment section below!

PS. Currently in Toronto, Canada! If you have any recommendations on things to do/see/eat please let me know! (Yes, I will be blogging when I'm on vacation...because unfortunately I did not get the chance to pre-write my blog posts!)

May & June 2014 Empties

Sometimes I wonder if the amount of makeup and skincare items I go through is unhealthy. During the month of May and June, I have used up 26 products! Some of the products would be very familiar to you if you have been following me for some time, others are new mentions! I am extremely happy with the amount of products I have gone through because that means that these products aren't sitting there and collecting dust in my cabinets! There is of course a lot of products I still have to go through before I can be happy with the amount of products I own, but I'm making lots and lots of progress!

Products Mentioned:
Almay Longwear & Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover
Avalon Organics Vitamin C Renewal Moisture Plus Sunscreen SPF 15
Biotera Ultra Moisturizing Shampoo and Conditioner - Review
Clinique Pore Refining Solution

All updates will be on Instagram, but last week I killed seven samples... definitely working on stepping up my game this week! All I have left are foundation samples though...and I'm not sure if I will go through them that quickly!

What products have you used up lately? Let me know in the comment section below!

FOTD: Fourth of July Inspired Makeup Look!

Hello guys! So today I am creating a Fourth of July Inspired Makeup Look! I definitely think that this is an extremely fun look, its a bit different then the other looks I see beauty bloggers sporting.... probably because I didn't use the proper red, white, and blue    I just worked with what I had in my collection! I hope you enjoy my creation and keep reading to see how I created it!

For my face, I mixed CoverGirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3 in 1 Foundation in Medium Beige (Review) and L'Oreal True Match Lumi Foundation in Nude Beige to create a long lasting but glowing skin! To conceal my undereye bags, I used Maybelline Dream Touch Lumi Highlighting Concealer in Radiant underneath my eyes in a triangular shape. For any spot concealing on my face I used the CoverGirl and Olay Concealer Balm in Light. To add some color back to my face, I applied Physician's Formula Happy Booster Glow & Mood Boosting Blush in Rose on my cheeks. As always, I used the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in Transparent to set my face makeup.

For my eyebrows I am using my go to eyebrow product, the Anastasia Beverly Hills DipBrow Pomade in Dark Brown (Review) and to set my eyebrows I used Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel (Review). I then primed my eyes using the Jordana 12 Hr Made to Last Eyeshadow Pencil in Continuous Almond (Review). For my eyeshadow look, I first placed Mac Matte Eyeshadow in Saddle into my crease as a transition color and to help make blending a lot easier. I then used Inglot Matte Eyeshadow in 353 (Review) as a highlight on my browbone and on the inner half of the eyes. Then, I applied Elf Essential Eyeshadow in Teal in the middle of my lids. After that, I placed Inglot Pearl Eyeshadow in 428 on my outer third and into the crease. To finish up my eyeshadow look, I placed Inglot AMC Pigment in 30 to my inner third for some extra dimension. To line my upper last line, I used Wet n Wild Mega Liner Liquid Eyeliner in Black and I brightened my waterline using thw Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal in Nude. I finished off my eye makeup by applying Lancome Hypnose Drama Mascara in Strauss Black, a glittery black mascara, on my lashes.

Prior to putting on my makeup, I prepped my lips using the Maybelline Baby Lips in Pink Punch. Because I will be wearing a red lip, I will be using the Jordana Easy Liner for Lips Retractable Pencil in Sedona Red to ensure the longevity of my lipstick and to help fight against feathering! The lipstick I would be using is Victoria's Secret Color Drama Lipstick in Ignite. I found that the lips were slightly overpowering for the look, so I used NYX Megashine Lipgloss in Beige to help tone it down.

Of course, you need to set your face to make sure that the makeup sliding off! Today I used Urban Decay Deslick Setting Spray to help make my makeup last as long as possible.

I hope you guys enjoyed this makeup look and let me know what you think!

Wonder Girls Like Money Inspired Makeup Tutorial

Hey guys! So today I will showing you how I created this Wonder Girls Like Money Inspired Makeup Look! I created this like two weeks back, but never got around to recording the voice over (pesky things that they are!) If you guys do not know, I am a huge K-Pop fan! As such, it was only a matter of time that I did a K-Pop inspired look! I am quite pleased with the results, its a very dramatic look. I probably wouldn't rock this out much, being the hermit that I am... but this would be a nice look for going out at night! You get a rare glimpse of me wearing false lashes (this is like, the third time I've worn false lashes). Unfortunately, I may have forgotten to place eyeliner where the band of my lashes were to cover it a bit more...but there will always be a next time for me to remember!

Products Used:
Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow Pomade in Dark Brown - Review
BareMinerals Lash Domination Mascara
Becca Fine Pressed Powder in Wheat
Benefit Porefessional Primer
Benefit Hoola Bronzer

Makeup MAYhem Day 27 - Old & New Products in Makeup Rotation Week 3

Hello guys! Today I will be sharing with you the makeup I will be wearing this week. Some of the products you may recognize from last weeks makeup rotation, I did that on purpose so I could continue to test the products out more while updating you on my current thoughts on them! Some of these products featured here are old favorites that I am revisiting, but the majority of them are new! I hope you are having a wonderful day and hope you will liked reading this post!

For my primer, I will be using the Benefit Porefessional Primer. I'm still trying to determine how much it softens my imperfections...and whether or not it helps with oil-control. I do like this primer overall, so but I haven't made a final decision on what I think about it (and whether or not its worth grabbing again). For my foundation, I will be mixing Lancome Teint Miracle Foundation in Buff 6(W) and Mac Pro Longwear Concealer in NW25. I'm nearly out of my Lancome foundation, so I wanted to try to finish it out. I have to mix it with the concealer to make it match my skin more (plus, it provides more coverage). The Mac concealer is too dark for me to use by itself (but by the end of summer, I'm sure it'll be the only thing that matches my skintone with the amount I've been out in the sun). It is a fantastic concealer that you guys need to try out if you haven't already! For any other concealing I need, I will be using the CoverGirl and Olay Concealer Balm in Light. First impressions wise, this is a great concealer... it's very creamy, blendable, and doesn't crease much under my undereye area. For blush, I will be using Inglot AMC Face Blush in #58. I recently picked this up this weekend (along with two more eyeshadows from them), and from swatching it at the counter the formula seems amazing. This is hands down, one of the softest blushes I own (if not the softest blush in my collection!). For bronzer, I will be using the Elf Studio Golden Bronzer in Golden. It used to be one of my go-to bronzers (as seen by the fact that I hit pan on it). It's a great bronzer for all over face bronzing, but it has a bit of shimmer so I don't use it for contour. To set my makeup, I will be using Becca Fine Pressed Powder in Wheat. Like I mentioned in one of my videos, I'm not totally convinced that this is good for oil control. Still, I'm going to be testing this out to make sure that my instincts are right.

For my eyes, I don't have a lot of products I am sticking to...mainly because I plan on filming a lot of tutorials this week (so I gotta mix up the eyeshadows)! For my eyebrows, I am finalizing my opinion on the Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow Pomade in Dark Brown (first impression video). Needless to say, I think this may be my favorite brow product ever. For eyeliner, I will be using L'Oreal Infallible Gel Lacquer Liner 24 Hr in Blackest Black and Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner in Perversion. I suspect that the L'Oreal eyeliner has expired... I'm nearly positive the formula's changed and dried out... but I just wanted to make sure before I throw it out. In it's newest condition however, it is an amazing eyeliner! But of course, all things must come to an end and makeup is definitely one of those things. The Urban Decay Eyeliner in Pervesion has changed my mind on their infamous formula. Previously, I have tried Zero and Whiskey and it failed to impress me...the staying power wasn't great and the eyeliner never set. However, Perversion is so much better than the other colors I've tried...it lasts and when it sets, it stays in place! This week, I will also try to see if my Tarte multiplEYE Lash Primer is dried up or not... I've had it for awhile now, It was great when I first got it, it added so much length to my lashes! But, like I said earlier, makeup doesn't last forever! Lastly, I am giving another chance for the BareMinerals Lash Domination Mascara to impress me. Hopefully when the formula dries a bit more, it will work better for my lashes.

For lips, I will be mixing up my lipsticks but sticking to my newest lip liner, Mac Lip Pencil in Subculture! I adore my lip liner in Vino, so I wanted to try out another lip liner from them! I wanted a pinky nude lip liner, and this was recommended to me by one of the ladies at Mac. Definitely excited to try this out!

Makeup MAYhem 19 - New Product(ish) Makeup Rotation Week #2

Hello everyone! So today, I will be doing a second edition of Makeup Rotation. This week's products will mainly be featuring relatively new products from recent hauls on my blog and youtube channel. A lot of these I've used a couple of times, others I haven't used at all! I'm very excited to try these products out (and will hopefully be giving you a thorough review of some of these in the future)! Keep on reading to see what products are being used!

Face:
To start off, I will be priming my face using Benefit Porefessional Primer. A cult favorite product for many, and out of the four primers that I have tried this is one of my favorites so far. It definitely fills in pores, and I will be able to test out this week how good the oil controlling properties of this is. For foundation, I will be using Maybelline Fit Me Shine Free Foundation in Natural Buff that one of my best friends Jenny gave me when she was cleaning out her makeup collection. She adores this foundation, but had to part with it because she made the commitment to switch to only cruelty-free makeup products (something I greatly admire)! For any concealing, I will be using CoverGirl and Olay Concealer Balm in Light. I recently picked this up in Walgreens sometime last week, because it was 50% off (and because I was pretty sure that this is getting discontinued). I've heard many great things about this product from many bloggers, and I can't wait to try this out. To set my makeup, I will be using Becca Fine Pressed Powder in Wheat which my mom got for an extreme discount...$10! Naturally, I will test this out to see how effective it is.

For cheek products, I will be using Benefit Hoola Bronzer, Sleek Blush by Three in Pumpkin, and Benefit Watts Up Highlighter. Hoola is fast becoming one of my holy grail bronzers because well I can contour with it with my skintone! The Sleek Blush by 3 I received in Vanessa's package of our makeup exchange (linky) and to be quite honest... I haven't used it all due to how bright the colors are (which is ironic because I chose the blush because of the brightness of the colors). I'm going to testing how pigmented these blushes are and hopefully not walking out of my house looking like a clown. Watts Up is a beautiful highlighter that I received in Sephora's Birthday perk last year. Definitely recommend if you are looking for a cream highlighter!

Eyes:
For my eye brows, I will be using the Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow Pomade in Dark Brown. I did a first impression here and I know I will need to play around with it a whole lot more to get used to it. For eyeshadows, I will be using Bare Minerals Ready Eyeshadow 4.0 in The Happy Place that I won at the Promise Phan meet up. For eyeliner, I will be using Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner in Perversion. I've tried two eyeliners from the line...and so far I do not like their eyeliners at all (I feel like I may be one of the few bloggers in that boat...maybe this one will change my mind). Lastly, Bare Minerals Lash Domination Volumizing Mascara in Intense Black which I also won at the Promise Phan meet up will be tested out.

Lips:
For my lips, I will be using Bite Nude Luminous Cream Lipstick in Lychee and Musk and OCC Lip Tar Test - Primer, LoveCraft, and Pretty Boy. For those days where I am not wearing much makeup, you can expect me to wear one of the OCC lip tars to kick up my look up a notch. Otherwise, I will be wearing the Bite Lipsticks.

Have you guys used any of these products? What products did you get recently? Be sure to check out my giveaway here (open internationally)!

Series: Playing Makeup Artist 10/12/13

Hey guys! So today I will be starting a new series on this blog, where I will be posting myself doing other people's makeup. I have a tendency of doing my friends' and my sister's makeup... and I do it a lot! Today's post is featuring one of my best friends, Insiya. As you can see, her face is pretty much flawless, so there wasn't much help needed... but I love enhancing her eyes! I'm not sure how often I can abuse my friends and play makeup artist... depends on who wants to volunteer and all! :D

Makeup Used:
Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Powder in Dark Brown
Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel Buxom Best Lash Mascara in Blackest Black
Covergirl and Olay Simply Ageless Concealer in Light
Jordana Twist and Shine Lip Balm Stain in Cranberry Crush
Jordana FabuLiner in Black
Mac's Satin Taupe
Rimmel ScandalEYES Kohl Kajal Waterproof Eyeliner in Black
Tarte Blush in Stellar
Wet n Wild Color Icon Eyeshadow Trio in Walking on Eggshells (Eyelid Color)
Wet n Wild Fergie Eyeshadow Primer

Makeup Application:
1) I first primed Insiya's eyelids using Wet n Wild Fergie Eyeshadow Primer.
2) Then I filled in her brows using the darker shade (right side) of the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Powder in Dark Brown and set her brows using the Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel
3) I then applied the nude eyeshadow from Wet n Wild Color Icon Eyeshadow Trio in Walking on Eggshells onto the first half of her eyelids. Then, I used Mac's Satin Taupe and applied the outer half and into the outer V, making sure that all the makeup is blended in throughly.
4) I then applied Rimmel ScandalEYES Kohl Kahal Waterproof Eyeliner in Black on her waterline and tightline. Then, I used Jordana FabuLiner in Black to on her upper lash line to create a cat eye.
5) I then applied Buxom Lash Mascara in Blackest Black on her eyelashes (not that she needs much of it, her eyelashes are already long as it is!)
6) I then lightly used Covergirl and Olay Simply Ageless Concealer in Light to cover her dark circles and some discoloration under her eyes, while brightening the undereye area.
7) Lastly, I applied Tarte 24HR Amazonian Clay Blush in Stellar on her cheeks.

Have you guys done makeup on your friends lately? What do you guys think of the makeup look? Let me know in the comment section below!

September Favorites

Hello everyone! Welcome to my September Favorites! I would first like to start off by apologizing for the lack of blog posts this month. I want to reassure you guys that I have not under any circumstances forgotten about my blog, its just a lot of unfortunate circumstances have happened this month. I won't go to much details as I am a private person, I just wanted to let you know that there was a reason as to why I haven't been able to be able to keep this blog up and running like normal. Everything is better than it was before, life has its way of turning itself around. With that being said though, here are the products I used for the month.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Powder Duo in Dark Brown
Hands down the most natural brow product I own. I have been experimenting with other brow products and I always go back to this for the most natural brow look. Yes, this is pricey, but so worth it. Only downside is that I will have to set it with a brow gel, it doesn't last well on its own.

Covergirl & Olay Simply Ageless Eye Concealer in Light
Love this product! This is both hydrating and cancels out any discoloration underneath my eyes. Thank you Nikki (from FairestFavorites) for letting me know how awesome this product is!

Jordana 12 HR Made to Last Eyeshadow Pencil in Continuous Almond and Pink Evermore
I've been loving both of these creme eyeshadow sticks ever since I picked them up the beginning of September. Continuous Almond is a great base underneath all eyeshadows to cancel out any discoloration you may have while Pink Evermore is great for bring out the pink eyeshadows...not to mention the shimmer in this eyeshadow pencil is absolutely beautiful!

Jordana Best Lash Extreme Volumizing Mascara in Black
Although this mascara is a wet formula, I have to say hands down this is the best mascara I have tried in the drugstore thus far. The results this mascara gives me is akin to my favorite high-end mascara of all time, Lancome Hypnose Drama Mascara. The amount of volume and length this mascara gives me in one coat is absolutely insane. Best part of this product is that it is less than $5.

Jordana Twist & Shine Lip Balms in Cranberry Crush and Honey Love
My last Jordana rave this month! Cranberry Crush is a beautiful berry color that is beautiful for the fall and Honey Love is a beautiful nude color. Both of these colors are very pigmented and feel very smooth on the lips! My favorite of the bunch I purchased!

Lancome Oscillation PowerFoundation SPF 21 in Beige 10
I didn't enjoy this applicator of this foundation, which caused me to not like this product initially. However, once I got the Real Techniques Buffing Brush I realized that this is a really good product! Been using this mineral foundation ever since and haven't stopped loving it!

Mac Lipstick in Syrup (Lustre)
I've recently been back on my Mac lipstick faze. I can't believe I cheated on them with other lip products! This one in particular I didn't dive into until September rolled around and I'm actually astonished that I haven't really used this! Its a lovely deep-tone pink that is perfect for the fall.

Neutrogena Healthy Defense Liquid Moisturizier with Sunscreen SPF 50
I can't get over how awesome this moisturizer is! It is light, which makes it perfect for those with oily skin and sits very well under makeup! Not to mention it has an SPF of 50!

Wet n Wild ColorIcon Bronzer in Reserve Your Cabana
I swear I have been all "lets highlight every single part of my face this month!" This is a beautiful subtle highlight and I have not been using any illuminating-type product since I picked this up!

Wet n Wild ColorIcon Trio in Sweet as Candy
After seeing both fairestfavorites and rxbeautychic rave about this little trio, I knew I had to pick this little sucker up! And, of course, I am in love. I usually don't gravitate towards pink eyeshadow, but for some reason or another I have been wearing this trio for a good portion of the month!

Wet n Wild Megalast Liquid Eyeliner in Black
I may have stumbled upon the best drugstore liquid eyeliner ever. Okay, at least the best that I have tried.. this eyeliner lasts all day without smudging...even in Florida heat and through the hours of K-Pop dance practice! Definitely a new favorite in my collection!

Back to School Tips: 5 Products to Use When You Are Running Late

Hey guys! Today I will be starting a new series, Back to School! As you may or may not know, I am currently in college and I am about to enter my third year!  As such, I will be sharing my beauty and back to school tips in every other post that I will make :) The post today will focus on the 5 products I use when I'm running late for class or other things. Of course, you can always opt for not wearing makeup at all but if you are really want too, here are the high end and drugstore products I would use.

Left to Right: Lancome Blush Subtil in Amourose and Wet n Wild Blush in Pearlescent Pink

Both of these blushes are of the natural pink variety. For days when you are in a rush, you don't want to be messing with a highly pigmented bright pink, red, or orange blush. Those above are the two I recommend to achieve a natural yet slightly flushed and rosy look.

Left to Right: Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Duo in Dark Brown and Elf Studio Brow Kit in Medium

Once you start filling your brows, you don't go back. As such, filling in my brows is a necessity, even for days where I am in a rush! These two brow products are outstanding, and definitely worth you giving a look!

Left to Right: Bobbi Brown Corrector in Porcelain Peach and Covergirl & Olay Simply Ageless Concealer in Light

Undereye concealer is a must have for me! I have dark bags due to lack of sleep, and I always want to minimize it as much as possible! Both of these concealers work very well in covering the dark circles I have under my eyes!

Left to Right: Lancome Hypnose Drama Waterproof Mascara in Black and Maybelline the Falsies Volum' Express Flared Waterproof Mascara in Very Black

Mascara works wonders on your eyes, so it's definitely an important product to put on your lashes. A waterproof version, for me, is extremely important because I do not want my mascara to smudge or flake throughout the day. These mascaras do the job beautifully, they keep my lashes curled and they also lengthen and volumize my eyelashes very well. The Lancome mascara is my all time favorite for high end mascaras!

Left to Right: Lancome Lipstick in Love It and Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Honey

Last, but certainly not least, are lip products! I chose these no fuss lip products so that you don't have to spend 5 or so minutes working on your lips! While you can always choose a bright lip color instead, I find that neutral colors require a lot less maintenance, which is always an added bonus!
