Review of Rimmel Show Off Lip Lacquer

From left to right: Apocalyptic, Celestial, Celestial, Luna, Out of this World, and Stellar

Claims: For the first time, the intense, richer color of a lipstick is enhanced by a smooth satin shine. Ultra-intense, ultra-comfortable – it lasts all day. It's neither a lipstick... nor a gloss... it's BIGGER than both.
Price: $4.99 at Walgreens
Range: 14 colors
Size: .18 fl oz
Where can it be purchased?: Currently exclusive at Walgreens, I have heard that this will change though.

Hey guys! As you guys may be aware, I purchased these back in May and posted a New Product Alert on them! Needless to say, I felt these are worthy of a review!

I have to admit, this is the first liquid lipstick that I have tried. I haven't been fond of many lip gloss type products before (the only thing that has come close to what I feel about these are the Buxom Lip Polishes which are on a pedestal of their own). However, I am such a huge fan of these! The colors are very opaque with these lip lacquers, one coat of this product is enough for me. I don't find it necessary to use more than one coat of this product!

From left to right: Apocalyptic, Celestial, Celestial, Luna, Out of this World, and Stellar

I've mentioned it before in the New Product Post, but I'll mention it again! What I do like about this product is how you can tell by the packaging that this product has been opened. See the seal on the product? If that seal is broken, you can pretty much guarantee that the product has been compromised.

These lip lacquers have a doe foot applicator, with a little crevice thing in the middle. This is probably why I can probably make due with one application of this product, because the product is also deposited there. No other product  in my collection has such a thing, therefore making this product really unique!

Apocalyptic is a bright fushia pink lip color.

Celestial is a Nude Pink Lip Color. This is my go to for an everyday lip product.

Comet is a nude lip color. The swatch for for this shows a very dark nude, but this when applied throughout the lip this is a very wearable nude!

Luna is a peachy, coral lip color. This is the least pigmented of all the ones I own. I usually wear this one on top of a lipstick because I'm not a huge fan of completely coral/peach products on my lips.

Out of this World is a shimmery pink lip color.  I'm honestly not the biggest fan of the shimmer of this lip lacquer, but the color as a whole is really pretty.

Stellar is a bright pink borderline red lip color.

This product, when initially applied, is very comfortable to wear on the lips. The formula is not sticky, it is a bit wet though. For the majority of the ones I have, the pigmentation of these products are outstanding. Out of the six lip products that I own, Luna and Out of This World is the least pigmented of the bunch. Without eating, this lip product will last me for about 4 hours without any wear. However, I have noticed after 2 hours that the moisture from the lip products is lost and is slightly uncomfortable. This can be corrected if I exfoliate with a lip scrub such as Lush Mint Julep Lip Scrub and wear a lip balm underneath the product.

I thoroughly enjoy this line of lip products from Rimmel. My favorites of the ones I own are Celestial, Stellar, and Apocalyptic. I would recommend this product for people who are looking for a pigmented  liquid lipstick. I'll probably pick up a few more of these myself! I have been eyeing Aurora and Big Bang from the collection.
