May and June 2015 Beauty Favorites and Unfavorites!

Hello friends! Today I will be sharing with you my May and June Favorites (and Unfavorites). A lot of products here I am sharing with you are brand spankin' new to me, so I have formed some opinions on them, but not enough opinions to review. Nevertheless, you have some handy impressions on what I think of these products and I will churn out reviews as fast as I can (Spoiler Alert: I freaking love the new Elf brushes I bought and I just want to buy more brushes from them even though I will barely use them).

March & April 2015 Favorites

Hey guys! This is my March & April 2015 Favorites that I never got around to posting on my blog in time (go figure Pauline, being a bad blogger as per usual). Regardless of the lateness of this video, it gives a very good indication of what products I have been loving relatively recently (some products in here are old favorites, others are relatively new so you get to hear my thoughts on them).

On a side note, I have noticed I have been buying more high end then normal (totally accidentally, didn't even realize it until recently). As a result, I've made it more of a goal to accumulate more drugstore products to review and own. I guess I gravitate more towards high end products more than drugstore products...which is something I am am going to change.

New content for blog and youtube channel should come soon, I'm almost done with editing my latest makeup look...so once that's done and processed I'll have it uploaded on both outlets as soon as I can. I've been MIA a lot this year, much more than I anticipated. Took my exam in the beginning of June, so I will find out the results soon... wish me luck pretty please? Also been helping my friend out studying for her grad school entrance exam...so I've been busy the past month. As a result of all this, a lot of damage has been done (makeup shopping wise), so you'll be seeing plenty of reviews coming upish.

For those of you who have stuck around, thank you for doing so! I really do appreciate it, I know I don't post anywhere close to a relatively frequent basis, but I don't plan on stopping anytime soon :)

Hello guys! Hope you guys are having a WONDERFUL DAY. So today, I am posting my 2014 Makeup Favorites (for 2013 favorites, click here)! Plenty of these products are quite familiar to my long time readers, but a slipped a couple in here that are relatively newer but are just so great that I had to mention. I unfortunately do not have favorite for every single category, but I definitely chose products that I stand by and will see quite often in the next year (or more). That being said, hope you guys enjoyed watching the video and hope you guys have a wonderful new years!

December 2014 Favorites

Hey guys! I hope you guys had a Merry Christmas and for those of you who don't celebrate Christmas, I hope are enjoying the holidays! So today I wanted to share with you my December Favorites. I initially wasn't planning on doing a December Favorites, but I've been really enjoying these two products that I wanted to share with you (and yes, even if it is only two products!) I also am not planning on mentioning it in my 2014 Favorites (which will up be within the next week or so) mainly because... I've only had them for the last couple of weeks in December! As such, I decided on doing a December Favorites!

November 2014 Favorites

Hey guys! Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving (if you celebrate)! Today I will be showing you what my favorite products were for November!

Products Mentioned:
Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Powder Duo - Review
This month I have been all about the natural brow look as a result of the multiple smokey eyes I have been wearing this month. This brow powder duo is one of my most underrated eyebrow products, mainly because I love the Dip Brow Pomade so much! This brow powder duo is great for those natural days, and matches my brows really well!

Bare Minerals Marvelous Moxie Lipgloss in Rebel
I'm not usually a huge lipgloss fanatic, but BOY do I love this one. It isn't sticky and the smell isn't repulsive (yay!) This has a peppermint scent, similar to the Buxom lipglosses (which I also love)! Rebel is a nice sheer pink that works great on top of nude and pink lipsticks!

Benefit Rockateur Blush
This blush is absolutely DIVINE. I'm sure you guys are sick of me raving about this blush already... but I truly recommend you to get it! This is a beautiful rose-gold blush with a beautiful sheen, making it unnecessary to wear highlighter on top (although you could of course do that!) Benefit has a set of 6 cheek products right now at a discounted price for the holiday season, so check that out if you want to try several holiday collections! Oh, and if you want to see a swatch of the blush, check out my Top High End Blushes post!

Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Foundation in Beige Clair
I've heard so many wonderful things about Bourjois products that I knew I had to pick up this foundation when I got the chance! I picked this one up when I was in Canada and boy, is this a love! I actually attempted to film a 1st Impression of me wearing this foundation... but that video kinda failed...so I probably will just be doing a video review (or blog post) of this foundation. This foundation is probably best suited to normal skin (maybe some of you gals with combination skin) because it doesn't have a matte finish. I find that this foundation does not work really well when it is summer time, but this foundation is perfect during the colder months! I don't think you can get Bourjois in the US, but you can get it on Feelunique.com (they also do free international shipping over $15). This foundation is 17.72 on their website normally, but they do have sales, so you can get it at a cheaper price potentially!

It Cosmetics for Ulta Airbrush Soft Focus Blush Brush #13
Yes, I may have picked up another It Cosmetics Brush from Ulta. I couldn't decide between grabbing this brush or the OMG Foundation brush, but I ended up picking up this one.up because I had a wonderful foundation brushes, but I wasn't 100% satisfied with my blush brushes. I have not been disappointed with this brush at all, it is SO soft and deposits color perfectly onto my cheeks. Will I be picking more It brushes? Heck yes!

Make Up For Ever Full Cover Concealer in 5
Yes, I may have added another concealer to my collection. Picked this up during the most recent Sephora VIB sale...and I do not regret this purchase at all! If anything, I'm wondering why I didn't pick this one up earlier! Very long lasting, very pigmented, and pure perfection!

Make Up For Ever Rouge Artist Natural Lipstick in N9
I've never tried a MUFE lipstick until this month when I received this for my birthday perk at Sephora.. and as such I was pleasantly surprised! This is hydrating and a really nice browny, nude lipstick color that is perfect for everyday wear!

N.P. Solution Premium Snail BB Cream
The other base product I have been loving is this BB Cream. I haven't been a fan of other BB creams so far, but I really do like this one. My cousin gave this to me as a gift when I was in Canada so I'm not sure where to grab it besides Ebay. This is a tad bit too light for me, but that can be easily fixed with bronzer and a darker powder. This is incredibly moisturizing and very light, while providing light to medium coverage! First Korean makeup product I've tried, and I am impressed!

Too Faced Everything Nice Set - Review
What can I say that I haven't said in my review? I have been enjoying this palette a lot this month, from the neutrals to the jewel eyeshadow colors. This palette has a great variety of eye shadows, which will make it great for travel (even though it is a bit on the bulky side). There are some misses in this palette, so I do recommend you to check this out in stores (or read other reviews), before buying, but other than that... I definitely recommend you buy (hurry before it gets sold out!)

Wet n Wild Meglast Lipstick in 902C Bare It All
I've never tried Wet n Wild lipsticks until this month...and I have found a new favorite nude lipstick! It goes on so smooth, and while it is a matte lipstick formula, it isn't drying at all. For $1.99, this also won't break the bank when you decide to get the whole collection!

Recap of Makeup MAYhem: My Experience and Favorite May Posts/Videos

Hello guys! So today I wanted to do a recap of the Madness of Makeup MAYhem. For those of you who are new to my blog and are visiting, the whole 31 days of May I was either frantically blogging or editing. As a result, depending on the day you stopped by I either had a blog post or video up! It was an insane month, where I spent the majority of the time glued to my computer or glued to my camera. Tough times yo. I had an amazing experience with my first month off of school being productive in my favorite way possible, blogging and bvlogging! I'm going to share with you a couple things I've learned about myself and my favorite posts and videos that I did in May.

1) I bow down to the people who can take amazing photography of makeup. I am decent in landscapes and portraits, but with objects (in specific, makeup) I have a long way to go before I am happy. Purchasing a Nikon D5100 is a brilliant move, but I can't seem to get the hang of taking object photography. That being said, I have made it a goal for June to improve my photography skills in that aspect!

2) Blogging at home sucks, and I am not the efficient at home. Basically, spend more time in little coffee shops and boba tea houses to write my blog pictures! Maybe I can get pretty pictures taken there as well!

3) Video editing is nasty. And by nasty, I do mean it. I've taken up to four hours editing a video...and I have a feel like with how some of my videos will be in the future, it'll be a miracle if I can edit under three hours. That being said though, I do like how my videos are turning out!

4) I have no idea how some bloggers and bvloggers can turn out videos or posts every day. Mad respect for those who shoot, edit, and publish with consistently amazing content. There were days where I barely made it, where my blog posts or videos were about an hour away from being considered the next day on my timezone. Mad props to you guys ^_^

So those were a few things I've learned throughout May (beauty blogging and vlogging wise of course)! Now I have a two posts and two videos to share that were my favorites that I posted in May!

Thinking about buying Elf Cosmetics Brushes? Check out this lengthy post where I detail what I recommend, what I don't recommend, and some alternatives for you guys! I have a good portion of their brushes from their Essential and Studio line, so it's pretty comprehensive of about 70% of those two lines (if not more!)

Probably the most detailed review I have to date, the Anastasia DipBrow Pomade is a game changer in my makeup routine. When I say game changer, I mean it. Staying power wise, this beats the rest of my brow products hands down, and I find no need to use a brow gel to set it. Unsure of whether or not you want to fork over $18? Check out the review!

Finally got around to doing a review of the cult favorite, Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation. I've given this foundation about six months of testing before I reviewed it, making sure that I wouldn't be swayed by what I've heard from other beauty gurus and bloggers. If you are thinking about making the splurge, check out the review!

Summer is the time where most people tend to go for virtually no makeup or a very lightweight coverage one. Well, I never said that I fit with the mold did I? This summer foundation routine is provides medium coverage, and can easily be built to full if I added an extra layer of foundation on certain problematic areas of mine. Think that your oily skin and rising temperatures will cause your face to melt off? Think again. I can safely guarantee you that your makeup will look flawless from dawn to dusk with this routine (trust me, I've tested it out myself)!

August Favorites!

Welcome to my August favorites! As some of you guys very well know, August has been a crazy month for me! I got my wisdom teeth removed, school is now back up again and life is being extremely hectic! So much money has to be dropped for college shopping that it is absolutely insane! I have a decent amount of makeup products that I will be sharing with you guys today that have been a favorite of mine for the past month or so, a couple of them are rediscovered favorites that I have and others are new favorites!

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Powder Duo in Dark Brown
I have changed up my favorite brow product for the last couple of months, but as you can see this is by far my newest favorite. I prefer this one over the Brow Wiz in Brunette and Elf Studio Brow Kit in Medium because this gives me the most natural brow. Yes, I can blend with the Brow Wiz and the Elf Brow Kit but the effect this brow powder gives is absolutely divine. Be on the lookout for an indepth review in the upcoming future!

Bobbi Brown Corrector in Porcelain Peach
I've only recently just started using this product actively in August and I now remember why I love it so much! This corrector works wonders for discoloration and brightening up light undereye circles. As you can see, I love it so much that I have hit pan on it! Yay for another Project 10 Pan product to be finished!

Elf Studio Blush in Pink Passion
While this blush is a scary color for a lot of people, it is absolutely beautiful if applied sheerly or applied with a heavy hand. I like this blush a lot because of that versatility. I have been using this blush almost every day of this month!

Neutrogena Healthy Skin Liquid Moisturizer in SPF 50
Just when I was trying to find an affordable alternative to the Clarins UV Plus HP Day Screen High Protection SPF 40, I have found something absolutely wonderful! I stumbled upon this product while searching the internet for the best liquid moisturizer on TotalBeauty.com and I am so glad that I picked this up! This work beautiful under makeup and on its own, and the price tag is so much more affordable then the Clarins Sunscreen!

NuMe 19MM Magic Wand
This curling wand is absolutely divine. The curls last all day without any hairspray and through Florida humidity. The price tag is absolutely crazy, but well worth it (especially since there are tons of coupon codes for this floating on the interwebs). Definitely a must try if you have straight hair that doesn't hold any shape of a curl. This curling wand is a total life changer for me and I will probably do something dangerous and buy the whole line now! Be on the look out for an indepth review soon!

Real Techniques Blush Brush
Ever since I purchased this brush in my Back to School Haul, I have not picked up another blush brush since (which is a sign of how amazing this brush is)! This brush has completely changed the way on how I apply blush nowadays, there is less room for error using this brush because it picks up product nicely without packing on an excessive amount. As such, I highly recommend this brush for those of you who own pigmented blushes like I do and have a heavy hand! This brush balances out my heavy hand in blushes which allows me to walk out of the house without looking like a clown!

Real Techniques Expert Face Brush
This brush is another game changer in my makeup routine! I love using this brush with liquid foundations, it makes my holy grail foundation, the CoverGirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3 in 1 Foundation, look even more beautiful on the skin! Definitely something worth checking out!

Revlon Photoready Cream Blush in Pinched
I haven't really delved into cream blushes until I found this in my collection (yes, I may have misplaced this somewhere!). This blush is light to medium peach color that gives a nice natural flush of color on your cheeks. This blush is also nice to use when you want to layer with other blushes to prolong the wear of your blush!

Wet n Wild Bronzer in Reserve Your Cabana
I never realized the value of a subtle, powder highlight until I picked up this bad boy. The product amount of this is astronomically ridiculous, which means that you get almost a lifetime of useage out of it! Will be definitely using this highlighting product for months and months to come!

July Favorites

Hey guys! So July has come and gone and August is now here! So lets get started on the month by a July Favorites post! So, if you are interested, keep reading to find out what I have been enjoying this month!

Makeup&Beauty:

Buxom Lash Mascara in Blackest Black
This is one of my all time favorite all time mascaras, it significantly volumizes and lengthens my lashes! This is not the waterproof mascara, but it does really well in holding my curl!

Dior Diorshow Waterproof Mascara in Black
Once I stole this back from my sister, I remembered why I loved this mascara so much. While the wand is extremely bulky, this mascara works wonders on my puny lashes. Plus, this is waterproof, which makes it work wonders for the summer time.

Elf Studio Blush in Candid Coral
itsJudyTime on Youtube always raves about this blush so I had to pick it up! Needless to say, this is a really good everyday blush. It is a buildable blush, one where you won't be afraid to put too much blush on like my favorite (Pink Passion).

Elf Studio Eyebrow Kit in Medium
Reviewed this product here and I have been loving this product this month! This has been what I have been using on my brows and I absolutely adore it!

Elf Jumbo Lip Gloss Stick in Movie Star
This is a nifty product that I got around 4th of July and I have been using it for the majority of the month! This color is absolutely beautiful, its a sheer red lip color that is quite buildable! I've been wearing red lips more often in July as a result!

Inglot Eyeshadow Matte 353 (Top Left)
This is definitely my newest favorite highlight color. I adore this eyeshadow for highlighting my inner corners of my eyes and underneath my brows. Currently my most used of the Freedom palette I have made right now! Used here for my FOTD Look.

Mac Eyeshadow in Woodwinked (Veluxe Pearl)
Probably one of my best purchases I have made yet for a single eyeshadow. While I know that there are dupes for Woodwinked, I couldn't resist purchasing the color that everyone raves about several months back. Once I started wearing this eyeshadow, I am pleased to say I made a good decision. I featured this eyeshadow in a FOTD here and it looks so beautiful when it is just swept across the lid. If I am in a rush nowadays, all I do is just use this eyeshadow and run out of the door!

Maybelline Masterprecise Liquid Eyeliner in Black
To this day my favorite type of eyeliner is liquid, even though I haven't found the perfect liquid liner yet. I just love how smooth liquid liner goes on, in comparison to pencil and gel eyeliner. This is currently the only liquid eyeliner I have in my collection (shocker!) and so as such this is what I have been using for the majority of the month.

Rimmel Scandaleyes Kohl Kajal Waterproof Eyeliner in Nude
This eyeliner is perfect for when I want to make my eyes look brighter! I have been using this on days when I want to make my makeup look more natural, and this long lasting eyeliner definitely does the job!

Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in Transparent
This does increase the staying power of my makeup, but it is not the best in my collection. Nevertheless, this powder is great for travel and still very good! I have been throwing this one in my travel makeup bag because of compactness and because I do adore it!

Scarzone Scar Diminishing Cream SPF 15
It's summer which calls for short shorts and skirts! Which, then of course, leads to me being more proactive on diminishing my scars on my leg. I don't use any other products besides this one, and it has worked really well for me in the past and continues to do so. This is a long time favorite, and I always end up remembering to use this when I am wearing shorts more often..and due to it being bikini season. LOVE.

Sephora Atomizer
I forgot how much I liked having perfume on me...and then I bought this. Needless to say, this is a godsend. I can now actually use perfume (instead of forgetting to like I normally do) because I always carry the atomizer with me!

Wet n Wild Blush in Pearlescent Pink
The flash on the camera makes this look more pink than it truly looks in real life, but this is a really nice everyday blush that you can wear. It's also really nicely pigmented! I'm really glad I picked this one up, and now I'm tempted to pick up the last Wet n Wild Blush that I don't have...

Wet n Wild Fergie Take the Day Eyeshadow Primer
Posted a review of this primer here, and I honestly can't get enough of this primer. I can barely use up my Sephora primer because I have been using this one so much! It is just more convenient, and the lasting power of this is so much better!

Wet n Wild Color Icon Trio in Silent Treatment
Talk about a versatile little trio here. I am able to create both day and night looks with this palette, even used wore it for my Girl's Night Out Collab. The pigmentation is amazing and I absolutely love how this goes on the eyes. It's like a dream!

TV Show:

The White Queen

Someone is going to kill me when I said this, but I think I prefer this TV Show to the book. For me, the book dragged...a lot.... but this TV Show is just plain awesome! Of course, it hasn't airred in the US yet, so I've been watching it online (not that I could watch it at home anyways, cause we don't have Starz in our package) but I've fallen in love with the characters. Yes, it may not be the most historically accurate but its TV, what do you really expect for TV. This is also done in a woman's point of view, so there isn't an insane amount of violence/war at all...which is probably why the ratings aren't the highest in England (sad I know right...even though this TV show is geared towards woman). I do appreciate that the sex scenes are pretty vanilla (aka pretty mild in terms of modern TV) cause as much as I love Max Irons and all of his goodness, I do not want a TV show to be vulgar (we have porn for that folks). But still, if you don't like seeing anything sexual related, don't watch.

Memorable Blog Moments!

- Hit 5000 views this month :)
- Passed the 50 subscribers this month combined on bloglovin and GFC! Thank you so much guys, you are the best!
- Have talked to wonderful bloggers this month... constantly :)

June Favorites

Another month has past! I definitely have a lot more favorites this month then last month, so come and check it out!

Makeup Favorites:

bareMinerals Eye Brightener in Well Rested
Doesn't matter what concealer I have been using, I always use this to set my undereye area. This works wonders on concealers that aren't full coverage, and it also works fine if my concealer is just my foundation. The hype for this product is totally worth it!

Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3 in 1 Foundation in Medium Beige
Whenever I have been wearing makeup, nine times out of ten I have been wearing this foundation. I have a review of this foundation here and I cannot stop obsessing over it. It applies so smoothly, and it lasts all day. I have no idea what I would do without it!

Elf Studio High Definition Powder in Sheer
I've never used setting powders before but this one works so wonderfully! I do not get a white cast when I am using this translucent powder and this helps my makeup last so much longer! Of course it helps that this is only $6, in comparison to other high end translucent powders.

NYC Bronzer in Sunny
Summer equates to bronzing! I don't typically use bronzer any type of the year besides summer! This bronzer can be used lightly to warm up my complexion, as well as lightly contour my face! You can also not beat the price on this ($2.99)! This bronzer is a bit orange though, so I have to be careful using it. After the tan I should be getting this summer... this should be a better bronzer for me :B

Physician's Formula Matte Eyeshaodw Quad in Canyon Classics
Absolutely obsessed with this quad! I've never really used Matte eyeshadows until I got this palette, but  DANG am I missing out. This is a really good, pigmented neutral palette! I'm completely addicted!

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Lib Stain in Honey
Leighannsays always raves about this product on YouTube, so I finally decided to grab it. Low and behold I have been wearing this lip product obsessively. Now I'm wondering, what happened to my bright lipstick obsession? This is so moisterizing! Although it doesn't last as long as the other brighter ones in the collection, I really don't mind that much! I am probably  going to end up picking up the rest of the collection after Project 10 Pan finishes... XD

Rimmel Scandaleyes Kohl Kajal Waterproof Eyeliner in Black and Taupe
These are the two eyeliners I have been gravitating towards the whole month of June. Long lasting, and doesn't smudge on my oily lids! LOVE!

Rimmel Show Off Lip Lacquer in Celestial
If I am not wearing Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Honey, then I am wearing this! The only reason why there are no lip glosses in my favorites is because this is a lipstick and lipgloss hybrid! For some reason, I have not been gravitating towards bright lip colors, but to natural, your lips but better lip  products!

Random Favorites!

Favorite Song: I Love It by Icona Pop

Favorite TV Show:
Breaking Bad
Talk about a smart TV show here! This show is about an overqualified high school chemistry teacher who sells meth in order to pay for his cancer treatment...and of course things in the drug world are never simple. As far as I can tell, the chemistry info is pretty darn accurate, and the writers have a masterful way of weaving the story together. Beware though, tons of violence and gore in this TV show, so I don't recommend if you are the squemish type!

May Favorites

Welcome to My Monthly Favorites! I am a firm believer in quality over quantity. While I do not have many favorites (6 beauty and 1 non-beauty), I can assure you that these products are just plan awesome. Scroll down to see what I enjoyed in the month of May!

Beauty Favorites!
Anastasia Beverly Hills' Brow Wiz
Ever since I got this, I've been using it nonstop! This has been my go to product for my eyebrows, it photographs beautifully and it lasts a long time when used with the Brow Gel. I posted a review on this product.

Mac Lipstick in Brave
This is my go to nude lipstick (I even have a backup of this all set to go when I am finished with it!). This is a beautiful color that is more of a pink nude rather than a true nude. I absolutely adore this lipstick and there is no doubt that this will be in my empties soon.

Maybelline Baby Lips in Peach Kiss

I've never used Maybelline Baby lips until this past month and I have top say that I'm in love! I have never had anything this moisturizing as these lip butters. This is a very nice nice color with a bit of shimmer. Whenever I am not wearing my Mac lipstick in brave I am almost always just wearing this!

Maybelline the Falsies Flared Volum' Express Waterproof Mascara in Very Black
This is the first Maybelline mascara that I've tried and I'm in love! This mascara gives my eyelashes a nice boost in volume! My lashes are pretty non-existent and this is one of the best drugstore mascaras that I've tried! Waterproof is an essential for the Florida ; this mascara does not smudge one bit!

Olay Professional ProX Facial Cleansing Brush
I use this brush daily to both remove my makeup and cleanse my face. This brush has two settings, a regular cleanse and a deep cleanse. I know a lot of people are a fan of the Clarisonic but it is just to darn expensive :/ However, for those who are wanting something similar, I recommend you try this instead!

Wet n' Wild Take the Day Eyeshadow Primer
I can not stress how amazing this eyeshadow primer is. The longevity of this primer is absolutely insane, I wore it yesterday and my eyeshadow makeup still looked as good as when I applied it....13 hours later (9AM-10:30PM)! I'm honestly tempted to try and see how long this primer can last before my eyeshadow creases...but I have a feeling that I might have to sleep with my makeup intact in order to find out. I highly recommend this product,  now that I have discovered it I will not even think about trying out either Two Faced Shadow Insurance or Urban Decay Primer Potion...it's just that good!

Non-Beauty Favorites!

Favorite TV Show: Jang Ok Jung: Live in Love
I am a huge fan of Korean Dramas, especially Korean historical dramas (sageuks). This is a story about Korea's most famous femme fatale, Jang Ok-Jung (who is also known by her title Jang Hee-Bin). She was a concubine who gained King Sukjong's favor during the Joseon dynasty (1392-1897). Here is the wikipedia page if you want to learn more about this drama and if you want to watch the drama, you can watch it on sites such as Dramacrazy or Dramafever. Currently there are 16 episodes to this drama, but it is still airing in Korea and has another 8 episodes to go before the drama is complete. Love this drama and I highly recommend it if you like historical dramas!

Let me know what your favorite things were in May? What do you recommend me to try out in June?
