Hello friends! Today I am sharing with you a relatively quick and easy Get Ready With Me Video, featuring a rather glowly face. The main inspiration out of this look today was the fact that I actually ran to Walmart to grab the Hard Candy Baked Bronzer in Tiki (the highlighter everyone loves) because I wasn't willing to fork out the $38 for Jaclyn Hill's Becca Collab Champagne Pop. I'm also using a lot of drugstore products here (minus the brows and the face primer...and someone help me find a good drugstore face primer please). Unlike the majority of my makeup looks, this one offers light to medium coverage and isn't long wearing. I hope you guys enjoy the video!

FOTD: Summer Turquoise Drugstore Makeup, Inspired by FacadesandNuances
This makeup look is a bit out of my comfort zone because I'm working with blue eyeshadow. However, I really do like the end result and I feel it is extremely wearable because this shade of turquoise is a bit more muted. Hopefully you guys will enjoy this makeup look as well!

March & April 2015 Favorites
Hey guys! This is my March & April 2015 Favorites that I never got around to posting on my blog in time (go figure Pauline, being a bad blogger as per usual). Regardless of the lateness of this video, it gives a very good indication of what products I have been loving relatively recently (some products in here are old favorites, others are relatively new so you get to hear my thoughts on them).
On a side note, I have noticed I have been buying more high end then normal (totally accidentally, didn't even realize it until recently). As a result, I've made it more of a goal to accumulate more drugstore products to review and own. I guess I gravitate more towards high end products more than drugstore products...which is something I am am going to change.
New content for blog and youtube channel should come soon, I'm almost done with editing my latest makeup look...so once that's done and processed I'll have it uploaded on both outlets as soon as I can. I've been MIA a lot this year, much more than I anticipated. Took my exam in the beginning of June, so I will find out the results soon... wish me luck pretty please? Also been helping my friend out studying for her grad school entrance exam...so I've been busy the past month. As a result of all this, a lot of damage has been done (makeup shopping wise), so you'll be seeing plenty of reviews coming upish.
For those of you who have stuck around, thank you for doing so! I really do appreciate it, I know I don't post anywhere close to a relatively frequent basis, but I don't plan on stopping anytime soon :)

Makeup MAYhem Day 13 - Drugstore Makeup Rotation Week #1
Hello! Today on Makeup MAYhem, I will be doing my first makeup rotation and showing you the products that will be going on rotation this week. For those of you who don't know what makeup rotations are, basically this is a weekly rotation where I choose the makeup products I will use only during that week. Being a hoarder and a shoppaholic, rotating through my makeup will allow me to use products that I haven't used in awhile (and hopefully finish products I don't adore).
Today, my makeup rotation is featuring drugstore products. I'm going back to my roots and going through my collection to figure out what products I either haven't used in awhile or products that I need to finish up.
Face:
For my foundation, I will be using CoverGirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3 in 1 Foundation in Medium Beige (Review). This foundation is my all time favorite for the past year now, I'm close to being finished with it and hopefully by using it actively within the next couple of weeks I will finish. The concealer I will be using is Milani Secret Cover Concealer Cream Stick in Medium. Its no secret I abhor this concealer (check out my concealer collection video here to see why), but I refuse to throw away any product before I finish it up. For color on my face, I will be using Elf Studio Blush in Candid Coral as my blush and Rimmel Natural Bronzer in Sundance as my bronzer. Neither of these products I have used much within the past six months or so, so I'm excited to tryout these products again! Lastly, I will be using Elf Essential Shimmering Facial Whip in Lilac Petal as my liquid highlight and Wet n Wild Color Icon Bronzer in Reserve Your Cabana as my setting powder and powder highlight. I've heard good things about Wet n Wild Color Icon Bronzer in Reserve Your Cabana as a setting powder, so I'm really excited to try that out with that use!
Eyes:
The eyeshadow palette I will be experimenting this week is Physician's Formula Shimmer Strips Custom Eye Enhancing Shadow and Eyeliner in Universal Looks. This a very good drugstore option to Urban Decay Naked Palettes (especially since its a fraction of the costs. The eyeshadow primer I will be using is my trusty Wet n Wild Fergie Take the Day Eyeshadow Primer (Review) and the eyeshadow base thats going to get a bit of love (after being abandoned for a bit) is Maybelline 24/7 Color Tattoo in Bad to the Bronze. The color tattoo is drying out, so I want to get as much use out of it before I can't use it anymore. For pencil eyeliner, I will using Jordana 12 Hr Made to Last Liquid Eyeliner Pencil in Espresso Last and Rimmel ScandalEYES Kohl Kajal Waterproof Eyeliner Pencil in Nude and using Wet n Wild MegaLiner in Black for liquid liner. Lastly, I will be using L'Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black Mascara and Maybelline MasterShape by Eyestudio Eyebrow Pencil in Deep Brown. I recently received the eyebrow pencil from my friend, Jenny, who is cleaning out her makeup collection and only keeping cruelty free products.
Lips:
For lipsticks, I will be using L'Oreal Color Riche Lipsticks in Fairest Nude and Vagabond Mauve and Victoria's Secret Color Drama Lipstick in Ignite. Fairest Nude gets a lot of rave, but for some reason or another I haven't used this much since I got it in April. Vagabond Mauve is a discontinued lipstick that I love to death, but has been forgotten with all the new lip products I've gotten recently. Ignite is a warm red that my sister got for me awhile back, I added in Victoria's Secret makeup because they are drugstore price! And lastly, for days where I want to use a glossy product, I will use Elf Luscious Liquid Lipstick in Pink Lemonade.
What products are you using this week? Be sure to check out my giveaway here (open internationally)!

Makeup MAYhem Day 7 - My Sister's Top Makeup Products!
Hey guys! So today I will be going through the products that are my sisters favorite! I've featured her in the past, doing her makeup and whatnot here, and here. Over the past year or so, she has been more active on using makeup (probably as a result of my influence) and has developed strong opinions on her favorite products. Below, I have listed the products that are her favorites. Enjoy!
My sister loves this product so much...that this is her third full sized White Russian! I introduced this to her birthday last year and she completely adores the Buxom line of lip products (specifically the lip polishes). Out of all the colors in the line, this is her favorite. It is a nude pink that is opaque, not too sticky on the lips! I always steal this product from her when I can. Price: $19
Elf Essential Eyelash Curler
Unlike me, my sister curls her eyelashes everyday! Regardless of what mascara she is wearing, she religiously curls her eyelashes using the Elf Essential Eyelash Curler. I purchased this for her at Target, and initially she didn't want to use it (because, who rationally wants a put a crazy device like that so close to your eyes!) Eventually, she got the hang of it and now she always uses it. Price: $1
Milani Eyeshadow Primer
Prior to introducing this product to her, Gabby didn't use eyeshadow primer to prolong the staying power of her eyeshadows. However, once she realized how beneficial they were to preventing her eyeshadows from creasing, she was hooked. This eyeshadow cancels out discoloration on your eyelids, and is very affordable. Price: $6-8
Part of the Real Techniques Travel Essentials Brush Set, this brush is the one that she has been consistently using in order to apply tinted moisturizer or foundation. Unlike other flat foundation brushes, this one is a bit more dense so the product gets applied a quickly. This brush blends easily, and doesn't cause foundation to streak. Price: $15-18 (purchased in a kit)
Revlon Colorstay Foundation for Oily/Combination Skin in Warm Beige
Currently, this is foundation doesn't match her skintone but once her tan gets back on (which will happen within the next week or so) she will be actively using this again. Half of the bottle is gone, and this foundation is still going strong for her! As many of you know, it is long lasting, and full coverage (which my sister really doesn't need, cause she has better skin then I do). I personally don't like this foundation, it is too thick for me but this is my sister's fav! Price: $10-13
Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette
While I may technically own this palette, my sister uses it more than I do! Currently, the eyehshadows Half Baked and Chopper are panned because of her, and there are very big dents on other eyeshadows in here. She has a tendency to using only one eyeshadow for her looks, so she goes through eyeshadows a lot faster then I do! Price: $52
Victoria's Secret Eyeliner in Black
This is her second eyeliner that she has gone through from Victoria's Secret. This eyeliner lasts for her all day through the weather. I personally do not like the formula of this eyeliner, but Gabby completely adores it! Price: $9
Hawaiian BBQ Pizza at California Pizza Kitchen
Butter Cake at California Pizza Kitchen
The two pictures above are when my sister and I were having a girls day out at a California Pizza Kitchen yesterday. Highly recommend that restaurant if you ever get a chance to go.
What products does your sibling use? Let me know in the comment section below! Be sure to check out my giveaway here.

After Spending Ban Haul!
So as many of you guys may or may not know, my spending ban has ended! Which meant that I bought quite a bit of makeup, fashion...and a nice pair of shoes! In this monthish time frame, I have finally splurged on makeup brushes, and I am so happy that I did (if there is one thing I have learned through my experience in makeup, is to now invest in buying makeup brushes; I'd rather invest in a good quality brush than one that isn't as good).
On a somewhat random note, I also bought the Real Techniques Travel Essentials Makeup Brush set for my sister! She loves the set, and it has also stepped up her makeup routine! I don't typically like the flat foundation brushes that travel sets come up with...but the Real Techniques one is amazing, seriously! If you are on a budget, I highly recommend you to check out the Real Techniques line!
Anyways, check out what products I have purchased in the last month or so!
L'Oreal Color Riche Lipstick in Fairest Nude
Perhaps one of the most talked about lipstick formulas and most talked about shade in the blogging world and youtube, so it wasn't a surprise that I grabbed it!
L'Oreal True Match Lumi Foundation in W2 Nude Beige
So, you are wondering why on earth an oily skin girl would pick up a foundation meant to "luminous"?! Well, its because I plan one using this as a foundation to mix with a matte foundation (such as my well beloved, CoverGirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3 in 1 Foundation - Review) and I also plan on using it in the relatively small winter we have in Florida. My other foundations don't fare at its best with winter season, so I'm hoping this foundation would do well during that time (even though... winter isn't going to come back for a long time and all...can't help but be prepared ahead of time!)
Mac 109 Small Contour Brush
One of the main struggles lately is finding a brush that can deposit enough color, without it being an excessive amount. This brush was recommended to me by a Mac makeup artist to use as a blush brush. I've used this brush a couple of times for that and its working well so far! Haven't used it for contour yet though, but I am looking forward to do so.
Mac 217 Blending Brush
Holy cow is this an amazing brush! I can not begin to fathom not having this in my collection now that I own it. I initially thought that my makeup application prior to this brush was decent...but now I know I was wrong. My makeup application has definitely stepped up its games since I've obtained this brush, and now I want to pick up so many more of these (even though its priced at $25...so maybe I'll go stumble around and try the "dupes" before deciding to pick up more of these...)
Mac 228 Mini Shader Brush
I wanted a brush that could place eyeshadow underneath my small eyes without making me look like a raccoon. Most smudge brushes are too big for me (like the Mac 215 Medium Shading Brush, which I initially bought and then returned for this one). I haven't used this brush yet, but I have high hopes for this brush!
Milani Blush in Luminoso
I still cannot believe that I have not picked up a Milani blush until now! It seems to me that my blush collection won't be complete without at least one blush from them! This blush is absolutely divine, it applies on my cheeks in a flattering light orange color and makes my cheeks glow! One thing I haven't gotten around to expect was that this blush has a bit of fallout when you press on it with your makeup brush a bit too hard!
Milani Eyeshadow Primer
I still love my Wet n Wild Eyeshadow Primer (Review) but I was in need of an extra eyeshadow primer so that I could have one primer in my travel makeup bag (which tends to have everything in it) and one at home. So far I like it, we'll see how this goes the longer I use it!
Physician's Formula Happy Booster Glow and Mood Boosting Blush in Rose
I haven't bought anything from Physician's Formula for a long time, so when I got a coupon from CVS I couldn't resist and picked up this blush. First off, LOVE the packaging--the hearts are so adorable. The blush is a light pink and quite buildable. Definitely something nice to add to my collection!
Sephora Makeup Brush Cleaner
Currently using this to spot clean my makeup brushes, and I am loving it! I have the smaller size right now, but I am definitely going to be buying the full sized version when I finish this one up!
Sephora Makeup Brush Shampoo
This is what I'm currently using to deep clean my brushes. It's a gel like formula that I'm not use to, but one that cleans brushes decently well. Still unsure with what I think about it, but will keep you posted!
What's worse about this spending haul is that I just got the Sephora and Ulta coupons in the mail this week...which may mean more spending D: Not sure how my wallet can handle it...
What have you guys purchased lately? Let me know in the comment section below!

Hey guys! So today, I have a transformation tutorial based off of Cindy Sherman's untitled film still #10. I did a self portrait series based on my photography class after her. Back to School: Drugstore Makeup and Hair for First Day of School
Hello ladies! Today I am doing one of three back to school makeup and hair looks! Today is a more feminine, girly, and polished look. I am using all drugstore products for my makeup and hair! I hope you guys enjoy reading this blog post!
Makeup:
Face:
Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3 in 1 Foundation in Medium Beige
Elf Studio Complexion Perfection
Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Concealer in Buff
NYC Bronzer in Sunny
Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in Transparent
Wet n Wild Blush in Pearlescent Pink
Eyes:
Elf Studio Eyebrow Kit in Medium
Jordana Best Lash Extreme Volumizing Mascara in Black
Maybelline 24Hr Color Tattoo in Bad to the Bronze
Maybelline MasterPrecise Liquid Eyeliner in Black
Physician's Formula Matte Eyeshadow Quad in Canyon Classics
Rimmel Scandaleyes Kohl Kajal Waterproof Eyeliner in Nude
Wet n Wild Fergie Take the Day Eyeshadow Primer
Lips:
Jordana Easy Liner in Baby Berry
Milani in Nude Creme
Revlon Colorburst Lipgloss in Peony
Eye Makeup Walkthrough:
1) Primed the eyes using the Wet n Wild Fergie Take the Day Eyeshadow Primer
2) Filled in my eyebrows using Elf Studio Eyebrow Kit in Medium
3) Applied Maybelline 24Hr Color Tattoo in Bad to the Bronze for a base for my eyemakeup.
4) Highlighted my inner corner and underneath my browbone using #1 from Physician's Formula Matte Eyeshadow Quad in Canyon Classics. I then used #2 all over my eyelid, and defined my crease and outer V using #3.
5) Used Maybelline MasterPrecise Liquid Eyeliner in Black to create a cat eye. I then used Rimmel Scandaleyes Kohl Kajal Waterproof Eyeliner in Nude on my waterline.
6) Applied two coats of Jordana Best Lash Extreme Volumizing Mascara in Black
Hair:
My hair look was created by my best friend, Jenny. She doesn't have a blog, but if you guys want to check her out on Instagram, her profile is here. She will be creating all three of my hair looks to accompany the three makeup looks I will be posting. Today's hair features a Braided Half Up Hairstyle.
To Create this Braided Half Up Hairstyle:
1) Section the top half of your hair (from temple to temple) into three parts (a top and two side sections). Leave the bottom half untouched.
2) Start by French Braiding your side sections until you get to the back. Then, stop collecting hair and finish braiding normally til you reach the ends and temporarily secure with hair clips. Repeat for the other side section.
3) To create the final braid, the three strands will consist of the left side section, the top that was set aside, and the right side section. Remove the hair clips holding the two side braids and braid the three sections normally until you reach the ends of your hair. Secure with an elastic band.
4) Tug on the braid to create a more loose and full hairstyle.
5) Because I already had second day hair, I redefined my curls using my NuMe 19mm Magic Wand.
6) Add accessories such as hair pins or bows to glam up the look.
How did you guys like this look? What would you wear for the first day to school? Let me know in the comment section below!
