Sometimes I wonder if the amount of makeup and skincare items I go through is unhealthy. During the month of May and June, I have used up 26 products! Some of the products would be very familiar to you if you have been following me for some time, others are new mentions! I am extremely happy with the amount of products I have gone through because that means that these products aren't sitting there and collecting dust in my cabinets! There is of course a lot of products I still have to go through before I can be happy with the amount of products I own, but I'm making lots and lots of progress!

Nails of the Day 6/23/13!

I'm Wired (Taken with Flash)

Another Nails of the Day Post! I'm still trying out the Sephora by OPI Life's a Beach Mini Kit. The color I am wearing today is I'm Wired. While this may be my favorite nail polish color yet, I do not like the streakiness of this nail polish. I'm Wired is a beautiful coral nail polish whose color lays more on the orange side of corals then pinks. This nail polish contains 3.75 mL (1/8th Fl Oz) and works well with my skintone. While I do like this color, I probably would not repurchase this nail polish because of the streakiness. This nail polish was more opaque then other nail polishes in the collection, but that isn't enough to convince me to buy it. I'm sure there are plenty of nail polishes on the market that are similar to I'm Wired and are of higher quality. I still would prefer buying mini sizes of nail polishes, just because a) I'm not a nail junkie and b) I won't get disappointed if the polish ends up being a dud.

What do you guys think of the nail polish? Let me know in the comment section below!

Nails of the Day 6/14/13!

Wearing Paisley Attention to Me. Photo taken with flash.

I have another Nails of the Day Post! Today I am wearing Sephora by OPI Paisley Attention To Me from the Life's A Beach Mini Kit. To be quite honest, I am quite disappointed by this color from the collection. I don't find this nail polish flattering to my skin tone, to be honest. It also took three coats of this nail polish to fully coat my nails.

Photo taken without flash.

So far I have had 2 misses and 2 hits in this collection so far. For spending $36 dollars on the collection, I'm not ecstatic that I have so duds in this collection, but overall, it has been a good experience trying out these nail polishes so far. Each of these nail polishes from this collection contain .127 oz, which is what I prefer because I don't paint my nails often.

What colors are your favorite to wear on your nails? Let me know in the comment section below!

Travel Makeup & Beauty Bag

Hey guys! So my sister is going to be traveling to Canada for a couple of weeks without me, but I figured I would do a post letting you guys know what's in her travel makeup bag (some of the stuff I would bring too!). Since my sister and I share makeup products and all, anything that is mine will be marked with an asterick (*)

This is a Lancome makeup bag* I got a couple of years back in a Free Gift With Purchase deal at Macy's. She will be using this bag to carry her makeup & beauty items!

So there are 11 makeup related items in the bag!

My sister is also going to bring several other beauty items! As in nail polishes, a lotion, and a couple of hand sanitizers.

Nails of the Day: 5/27/13

Once more, I am procrastinating on studying for my MCAT class right now, so I painted my nails! I just recently bought the new Sephora by OPI - Life's a Beach Mini Kit, the color I am trying out right now is It's Hippo to Be Square. It's a beautiful lavender color that is very opaque on the nails, one coat would've sufficed except for the fact that I'm such a horrid painter that I needed two coats lol. I used Sally Hansen's Hard as Nails UV Top Coat on top of It's Hippo to Be Square

From left to right: Sephora by OPI's It's Hippo to be Square and Sally Hansen's Hard As Nails UV Top Coat

The whole Life's a Beach Kit was $36; it contains 10 nail polishes each containing .127 oz. I usually don't buy full size nail polishes cause I have a hard time finishing it. I haven't yet tried all the nail polishes in this set yet, so I can not vouch for it being a good buy, if anyone wants a review on this set please let me know and I'll be happy to do so. Happy Monday!
