Hello friends! Welcome to my 200th post on my blog! Today I am sharing with you another Eid look, this time a bit more dramatic featuring the Too Faced Natural Eyes Palette. If you don't like a dramatic look, I recommend you checking my previous post here where I did a Natural Eid Makeup. This is the type of makeup I would typically wear for any special events that I go to. I love wearing a dark vampy lipstick and smoked out eyes.
Today was the first day that I tried the Anastasia Beverly Hills Cream Contour Kit that I purchased on Wednesday when Macy's was selling it for $25. I have avoided contour kits in the past because a) the steep price and b) let's be real, do I really need more contours and highlights? But the deal was too good to pass up, so I impulsively picked it up. I'm not sure what I think about it yet, but I will definitely let you know with a review.
Eid Mubarak to all my Muslim friends! I hope you all have a wonderful Eid and I hope you enjoy this look :)
To start off with, I primed my face using the Benefit Porefessional (Review) and primed my undereyes using the Elf Studio Hydrating Under Eye Primer. After waiting several minutes, I applied the Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Foundation in Light Beige (Review) and the Elf Studio HD Lifting Concealer. I then busted out my brand spankin' new Anastasia Beverly Hills Cream Contour Kit in Light, and started off my using the Vanilla shade in the regions I like to highlight (underneath my eyes, forehead, down the bridge of my nose, and chin). I then initially used the Nude shade to contour my cheekbones and deepen up the perimeters of my face, but then I decided to pick up Cinnamon to deepen up the contour a little bit (and as a result, I had to use a beauty blender to help blend it out a little bit more. To set the my face, I used the Wet n Wild Bronzer in Reserve Your Cabana (yes, I did not go in with an additional bronzer to set the contour, I liked the result of it as it stood).
I then moved onto my eyes. I applied the Wet n Wild Fergie Take the Day Eyeshadow Primer (Review) all over my eyelids and then used Heaven from the Too Faced Natural Eyes Palette to set it. I then started off my eyeshadow look by using Cashmere Bunny as a transition color in my crease. I then used Erotica all over my lids and placed a BareMinerals silver eyeshadow pigment onto the center of my lids. For extra blending into the crease, I used Nudie from the same Too Faced palette. I also used Cashmere Bunny along my lowerlash line. For my eyeliner, I used the NYC Liquid Eyeliner in Black on the upper lash line and Jordana 12 Hour Made to Last Eyeliner on the tightline and waterline. Lastly, for mascara, I used the BareMinerals Lash Domination Mascara and for my eyebrows, I used the Elf Studio Brow Kit in Medium (Review).
To finish off the rest of my face, I used the Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Exposed and for my lips, I used Wet n Wild MegaLast Lipstick in Sugar Plum Fairy.
What kind of makeup looks do you like to wear for special events? Let me know in the comment section below!

It truly is a fantastic palette, I love the color variety of this palette. I didn't think this would be as versatile as it is, but it pleasantly surprised me! So far I am surprised by the kit, I thought I wouldn't like how warm the palette is. However, I find that when blended it it looks pretty natural which is nice! Definitely will keep you updated on it :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful make up. I love dramatic lip colour for events. Belated Eid Mubarak to you too :)
