Hello friends, so today I am sharing another batch of products I am testing out. I've pretty much made up my mind with all the products I tested out initially (here), so of course, I have another batch of products that you can expect to hear my thoughts on. In this post you will get my initial for the majority of the products in this post. Hope you guys enjoy me previewing my future reviews for the blog!
I've had the BareMinerals Original Prime Time Foundation Primer for over the course of several months now and while I like it a lot, there are still some more foundations I would like to trial with this underneath before coming up with a conclusion for you guys! I really do think it has made a really big difference in prolonging my foundations (both liquid and powder). I have previously mentioned this product in my March and April Favorites here). One of the liquid foundations I testing is the Shiseido Sheer and Perfect Foundation SPF 18 in O40. I haven't tried any Shiseido products in awhile and my sister gifted me with this foundation. As the name implies, this foundation provides a light to medium coverage. So far, I don't know how well this wears yet but I will keep you posted! Another base product I have been trialing is the Elf Studio Tinted Moisturizer in Beige. This one is a tad bit too dark and more on the pink side then I would like, but I purchased this so that I can mix this with some of my bases that are too light for me right now. As for concealer, I have been trialing the Sonia Kashuk Hidden Agenda Concealer Palette in Medium. This was gifted to me by my aunt, so I didn't get to choose my shade, but surprisingly this works relatively well for my skin (probably helps that is is summer and all). I have been really enjoying the light concealer shade, corrector, and setting powder in this concealer palette. I have previously mentioned this concealer in my May and June Favorites here.
A powder foundation I have been trialing is the Make Up For Ever Duo Mat Powder in 202. This is a very matte powder and can you make you look rather 2D is you wear this by itself (and yes, I have done this myself). So far, I like the lasting powder of this more than the Mac Studio Fix Powder Foundation because I feel like it lasts a bit longer. I have previously mentioned this powder in my May and June Favorites here. I've also been trialing out the Physician's Formula Mineral Wear Talc-Free Mineral Airbrushing Pressed Powder SPF 30 in Beige. One of my friends, Jessica, swears by this powder so I knew I had to try this out! Plus, I really like that this powder has an SPF, which makes it really good for touch ups. The brush I have been using with this is the Elf Studio Retractable Kabuki Brush, which is a very great travel retractable brush.
Recently, I picked up the Anastasia Beverly Hills Cream Contour Kit in Light when Macy's was selling it for $25 (which found out thanks Nouveau Cheap's blog). So far, I am really liking this but I'm kind of thinking about switching this with the kit in Medium...because Contour shades in Cream and Nude are a bit lighter than I expected. The brush I have been using with this is the Real Techniques Sculpting Brush, which I find is very good for cream and powder products.
For eyeshadows, I am currently trialing the Sonia Kashuk Eye on Neutral #02 and Sonia Kashuk Eyeshadow Quad in Island Dreams (both of which were gifted to me by my aunt). So far, I am a pretty big fan of the Sonia Kashuk Eyeshadow Quad and I used it in my Summer Drugstore Turquoise Makeup Tutorial here, I find that the eyeshadows are very pigmented. I haven't developed a solid opinion on the Sonia Kashuk Eye on Neutral #02 Palette yet, but so far I'm not the biggest fan on the lightest eyeshadows...I feel like there isn't much a big difference between them.
What products have you guys been using lately? Which one of these products do you want to hear from first? Let me know in the comment section below.
Ooh, you're testing so many nice things! I'm tempted by the Sonia Kashuk palettes especially- I've yet to try her shadows, but I've heard good things :)

I really have been enjoying the Quad in Island Dreams, very pigmented and blendable eyeshadows! I haven't been able to play much with the Neutral matte palette, but I have high hopes for it :)
ReplyDeleteWow, such lovely products, I'd love to know more about the Sonia Kashuk Eye on Neutral palette! Are you going to do swatches or looks with it? :)
ReplyDeleteI plan on doing both swatches and a couple of looks with the Sonia Kashuk palette :) I'm definitely going to review it as fast as I can :) Thanks for stopping by!
ReplyDeleteAhh! I would love to try a liquid foundation from shiseido! I got myself a stick foundation from them but I would love to try a liquid one too! Also that quad in Island Dreams looks freaking awesome! I'm currently only trying a few new products that I've purchased the last few months but nothing too exciting!
ReplyDeleteI've been dying to try a liquid foundation from them so I finally got around to doing so! And the quad in Island Dreams is pretty great, definitely recommend you trying it out if you ever get the chance!
