But then, I went to Ulta (to kill some time before my sister's tutoring today) and I saw a better deal. Needless to say, I picked it up.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Bold Brow Kit in Dark Brown.
The kit features a brow brush, a brow powder duo, and a clear brow gel. Everything in this kit is full sized, which is what makes this kit a really good deal. The value of this kit is $72, but it was priced for $36. So of course, I picked up this kit and will return the brow gel I got in Sephora. I have been eyeing the brow powder duo from Anastasia for awhile, it was even featured on my high end wishlist here (which may be a reason why I did end up picking it up!). My first impression of the brow powder is a good one, but as always with first impressions, you won't know until you use the product a lot.
Which leads me to my question for you guys. How often do these types of things happen to you where you guys end up finding better deals after you buy a product? For me, this happens way too many times. I happen to enjoy value kits a lot, because they often have better deals then buying just a single product. Let me know what your experiences are in the comment section below!

Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel - Review
That set is such a great deal, and it's awesome that the products are full sized! I've never tried anything from Anastasia, but I'm always hearing rave reviews on their products! And I've also had it happen where I find a better deal after I've already purchased something. A few weeks ago I bought a shampoo from target for $10. Then I went to Walmart and they had the same shampoo along with condition and a deep conditioner for $12! Kinda annoying, but I guess I'll try harder to look around before I buy something!
ReplyDeleteIf you ever get a chance you should definitely try Anastasia products :) They are a bit on the pricey side but are definitely worth it! Ahhh, that is so annoying! Yea, its always good to look around before you buy!

ReplyDeleteI've done it a few times actually, but the differences were usually a few dollars or a dollar (it still makes me upset though...I'm cheap). I'll usually just go to Walmart when I'm unsure of a drugstore makeup item, since I find Walmart generally cheaper than Target...in Canada. Or, online shop comparison for more expensive items.

Yea, definitely going to return the brow gel I got at Sephora (didn't do it today cause I felt awkward about coming back the same day...). Walmart is generally cheaper than Target for here in Florida as well, so that is usually where I get my things. I'm also pretty stingy, that extra couple of dollars can get you something nifty! I usually do a lot of research before I buy, but for some weird reason I didn't today...but it worked out in the end so that's okay :B
DeleteNice find at Ulta! I totally want that brow kit <3 This happens to me a lot too! I figure it all balances out b/c I might miss a deal here or there, but I find some pretty good ones too! Good luck going back to Sephora and coming out without a cute little black and white bag full of new goodies!! xo Kelly http://chicnstylishblog.blogspot.com/
ReplyDeleteIf you ever get a chance, you should definitely check out the brow kit! It is really hard walking out of Sephora without getting goodies isn't it -.- It's just...like...impossible!
DeleteHaha this literally just happened to me yesterday! I went to Ulta to get a Hot Tools curling iron but then my mom found some for a cheaper price elsewhere! LOL all the time...

LOL. Hot Tools curling irons are on sale all the time, so that mistake can easily be made! ^_^
DeleteWhaaat?! Full sized? NICE! :D
ReplyDeleteI know right?! SUCH a great deal I got from this :D
DeleteI'm really enjoying the theme/design of your website. Do you ever run into any web browser compatibility
ReplyDeleteproblems? A number of my blog visitors have complained about
my site not working correctly in Explorer but looks great
