Review: Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in Beso

Hey guys! So today I wanted to review the Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in Beso. As I have previously mentioned in my Products I'm Testing post, I got interested in trying this lipstick out as a result of WhatWouldLizzyDo on Youtube. Liquid lipsticks are all the rage now in the beauty community, so I knew that I had to give this one a try sooner or later. Today, after many days of testing this lip product out, I am finally ready to give a review of this product to you!

The Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in Beso is a blue toned red liquid lipstick. The pigmentation of the liquid lipstick is very strong, there is no need to go back place the wand back into the tube to get more product. It only takes one swipe across the lips to get the full pigmentation. However, the doe foot applicator doesn't allow for precision during application (something that is kind of crucial for any red lip product). This product dries to a matte finish and it can be drying upon the initial application (check out the two links below to see a demo of the product in action). If you have dry lips, I definitely think you should wear lip balm prior to wearing this liquid lipstick.

While I like this lip product, I would not recommend this lip product to you if your are looking for it to last all day (like some of the popular claims are). If you are not eating any oily foods (salad with dressing, curry, etc) then this product may last you the full six hours. However, from my experience, I find that the color does have a tendency to fade significantly after oily food is eaten (I also find that the product doesn't set completely, so I do at times get the lipstick on my chin). If food is not eaten, then this product will last for a six hours (if not more). After several hours, the formula becomes drying on the lips. Of course, if this gets uncomfortable, then the best way to retrify that is to apply a lip balm or lip gloss on top. This lip product can be difficult to remove as well, so that is another thing to think about if you are wanting to buy this product.

Overall, I think that this is a good lip product without any significant lasting power (when consuming food that is). Personally, I am conflicted on whether or not I will buy more from the line. I have a lot of lip products, but I do not have many liquid lipsticks...so my makeup obsessed self might buy the more wearable colors. But, if you are looking for a fuss free liquid lipstick, then I cannot recommend this to you. This liquid lipstick will require check ups throughout the day like any other red lip (making sure lipstick doesn't get into your teeth, chin, etc).
