October 2014 Favorites

Hey guys! Welcome back to my blog! Today I will be sharing with you the products I have been loving in October! The past month has been a month full of adventures and I'm now looking forward to my favorite month (November, because its my birth month and all)! That being said, lets get right to my beauty favorites this past month!

Anastasia Beverly Hills DipBrow Pomade in Dark Brown - Review
This tried and true product has been used heavily this month (mainly because I had extra long days and I knew I can trust this product!) If you are unsatisfied with the lasting power of your eyebrow products, definitely give this one try. I don't think I will try any more brow products from any makeup line because this product is just that good. It might take a little more time to do your eyebrows using this product, but I promise the result is worth it!

Benefit They're Real Mascara
I completely adore this mascara! It's one of my favorites from what I have tried, drugstore and high end. This creates really nice length (and a tad bit of volume) for my sparse and short eyelashes. The power of this mascara was shown when I actually got asked if my eyelashes were real! However, this formula is especially dry...so if you do not like dry formulas stay away from this mascara!

IT Cosmetics Eyeshadow Brush for Ulta #105 Airbrush Blending Crease
Prior to this brush, I only owned one eyeshadow blending brush and that was the Mac 217. I didn't realize the usefulness of a big fluffy crease brush until I owned this one...and I did not regret this purchase one bit! This brush really makes sure that my eye makeup is diffused and does not have any harsh lines. I'm so happy that I purchased this brush, it is uber soft and I have not noticed any shedding at all! I have a feeling that I might splurge a little bit more for my brushes now that I have tried one It Cosmetics Brush (this was not a slippery slope that I thought I would encounter!)

Jordana Twist and Shine Balm Stain in Cranberry Crush and Honey Love - Review
While I may not be totally sold on the formulation of these lip products, I love the color payoff that these two products have on my lips. Honey Love is a beautiful dark, pinky nude and Cranberry Crush is a beautiful sheer (but buildable) berry. These have stuck around in my travel makeup bag for the past month or so and I don't see them leaving anytime soon!

Mary Kay Clear Proof Toner
I received this product in my most recent Influenster box to review (coming soon!) and this product has impressed me a lot! I'm not sure what to think of the rest of the Clear Proof line yet, but I really like how this toner balances and cleans up my face (and the fact that it is infused with salicylic acid which should help prevent future breakouts!) I've long been a fan of infusing either salicylic acid or other acne treatments in my skincare so that I can try to minimize future breakouts..so I'm even more happy to stumble upon this! However, if you are more on the drier skin side, I would not recommend this toner to you because it is a tad bit drying.

Nars Blush in Deep Throat
Whenever I am aiming for a peachy blush this month, I gravitate towards this one (as predicted in my Fall Makeup Picks)! It's an absolutely stunning blush that I truly feel will been flattering across all skin tones. The golden shimmer in this blush is light enough where it isn't overpowering and doesn't emphasize my pores. If you are looking for a blush to invest in, I highly recommend you check this one out!

Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in Transparent
This product is well loved, but yet under appreciated at times. I usually gravitate towards this setting powder to set my base but lately I have been loving this product to set my concealer underneath my eyes. Even though this powder doesn't make me stay matte the longest, I still like using this because it is reliable and I know that I won't look cakey when I use this!

Sleek Blush in Pumpkin
This beautiful orange blush definitely not for the faint hearted, but until you try, you never know whether or not you will like it! I've fallen in love with this blush within the past couple of months and I think that is something that has become irreplaceable in my collection (I also featured this in my Fall Makeup Picks)!

What are your favorites this past month? Let me know in the comment section below!

  3. Those Sleek Blushes look crazy - they're definitely on my list now. Orange is a bit of a difficult color to wear on the cheeks, but it can look really nice and brightening on some people. Definitely need to check out those Blush by 3s, I love the idea of blush palettes.

  5. Lady! I totally am in need of a high quality brow duo powder...I'm lusting over something expensive but I have to keep on reminding myself that it doesn't have to be pricey...but I WANT something nice. I totally would love to try that brush and the benefit mascara! I've been loving trying out some new foundations and some new lipsticks this last month!

  14. I actually find "They're Real" really wet. (But then again, aren't most mascaras when you first open them??)(Nonetheless, I didn't like it, LOL) I'M STILL FIGURING OUT HOW TO USE THE DAMN EYEBROW POMADE. I picked up a new brush the other day to do my eyebrows with, hopefully it works out better! I JUST WANT STRONG BROW GAME, DAMNIT.
